but the grape hyacinths are determined!
They were snowed on, but still there after it melted.
I really like Kristin Hannah's books, but they are not easy reads. I always learn from them, though, and that is definitely the case with The Women. It's about the women nurses who served in Vietnam and what life was like for them after they came home. Recommended if you like historical fiction, and can handle hard storylines.
On a softer note 😊 I finished the March heart I was embroidering, and love the look of it! Here are the three hearts so far this year.
LeeAnna's question of the week is about what baby animal we would like to have as a pet. I googled miniature sheep, and came up with these little guys - called Shetliot sheep. They're known for their incredible multicolored fiber! Also small, and good as pets. You can read more about them here.

The only good thing about snow in March is that it melts quickly! Our daffodils are starting to bloom now, despite the snow on the weekend. You are making a nice collection of heart embroideries. What a cute lamb! Gail at the cozy quilter.
There was snow 100 miles north of us in Oklahoma yesterday, but of course none here - waaaaahhh! Love your monthly hearts, daffodils turned out beautifully!
The hearts look great! That guy sure does look soft. Sticking his tongue out for the photo and everything!
Brr.. ..that looks like one cold Monday! Kudos to Mother Nature for allowing the grape hyacinth bulbs to flower and bring their joy to the word in spite of delivering snow to your area too! Those hearts are wonderful!

I loved that book and read it last month or so. Don't you just wish that snow would melt away and become spring and stay spring!! Such a cute little sheep or was it a goat? one of my nieces has tons of little goats on her farm
My daffodils were totally flattened by 4" of wet snow last weekend (and 15 degrees one morning). I thought sor sure that was the end of them, but they miraculously popped back up and look none the worse for being buried.

The snow looks pretty, but it was nice that it didn't last that long. Your stitched hearts are so cute. That's going to be a very fun finished quilt.
Miniature sheep, who knew! Plants always amaze me with their perseverance. Snowdrops and winter aconite here do it for me in late winter/early spring here, much like grape hyacinths and violets as well! I've read a couple of KH, not this one, thanks for the warning of the hard storyline. Sometimes I can handle it; sometimes not, or read/watch it if it's on TV in small doses with something lighter between.
