Angela at SoScrappy has chosen aquamarine for February for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, so this week I added to my collection of maple leaves and nine patches.
I was having so much fun with these refreshing colors that I decided to make a 6 inch slab block to match them!
Making this slab block was kind of like stitching up a mini scrap vortex, all focused on one color, relaxing, and with no rules! Just square it all up at the end.
So then I thought, why not make a few more to match my other leaves and nine patches!
Looks like I need to fill one more spot!

Very pretty aquamarine. Lovely blocks too. Isn't that Hazel fabric? Those slab blocks will make a great scrap vortex quilt.
Aquamarine is my favorite color in depression glass, and one of my very fave quilt colors! Very pretty.
love your blocks and that is a really pretty color--
got to get mine out and get busy--
enjoy the moments, di
My aquamarines are less than...but I have managed to scrounge up some colors that were neither green nor blue to use for this months RSC.
I love your blocks!
I am loving this month's color. Just finished up my nine patches too. Slab blocks are a great RSC idea too. Soon you will be up to a half dozen blocks :)
lovely colour this month and good blocks. I am just doing one a crazy one which I will then add to one day
I love the aqua, so pretty and it goes great with your other colours. Great slab blocks.
That aqua with the white flower outline is sew sweet! Fun slab blocks! I still only have one RSC17 started, I just can't decide which other/s to do!
Very pretty scrappy blocks. Your aquas are beautiful.
I love your aqua fabrics. Great idea to make an optional block to go with the originals. mary in Az
Loving your maple leaves and I think the rogue blocks are amazing...stress free which is what is the best way to quilt. I love musicals too and have seen the three in your photo. I'll never forget the audience all on their feet singing along to the last song in Mama Mia. Amazing feeling. From me A fellow retired teacher.
As usual, allyour blocks are amazing! And isn't it fun to stitch scraps and crumbs with no rules?!!
Lovely blocks!
So pretty these aquamarine blocks.
LOVE those AQUA Slab blocks!! They work well with your other blocks.
Beautiful blocks in my favourite colour! Christine x
Happy that you added the other slabs to your mix of blocks. I agree - making them is very relaxing.
You are really coming along with your blocks. You have some really nice fabric.

I am leaving my email address because it has been pointed out to me that I am a "no reply" blogger. I am not too good at this blog thing, but I will change that as soon as I figure out how to do it!
Lovely aquamarine blocks. All the colours you've completed look so good together.
They all look wonderful! :)
Looks like you have fallen in love with another block and expanded your work load, well it's not work, it's play. Have a fun week!
Your blocks look great! And I have some of the same aqua fabric in my stash.
Wonderful blocks! Your crumbs look like pure fun!
your blocks are so pretty
Very pretty! I like the pops of red in your teal slab block!
All the wonderful aqua, teal and sea green blocks for the RSC are making me wish I had these colours in my scrap bag.
Your blocks are so cute!
