Little Penguin Quilts Through the Year

Winter is here!

Winter has finally come back to our neck of the woods.

We woke up to a couple inches of snow and a low of -13°!

I don't think this little snowman will mind, though.  This is the Winter Stamp from PinkernPunkin.

A little more stitching is needed to finish up his body,
and some snowflakes in the air.
Not too much more to do!

I did get the Rainbow Bowties quilt top all sandwiched with batting and backing, and a few stitches already put in.  This is good weather for sitting with a quilt on my lap!

I'll be putting some slow stitches into both of these projects for my
Slow Sunday Stitching

We received a blast of winter too. The ground is white and the snow is blowing. Perfect quilting weather! Your winter cross stitch mini is really cute! Enjoy your hand stitching today.

Winter certainly let itself be known yesterday. We are at -2 this morning with 80% of snow. I'm glad My Guy has a 3 day weekend, it would be brutal having to head to work tomorrow, though Tuesday isn't going to be fun either. Love the snowman stamp, very appropriate subject for this time of year. Enjoy your slow stitching and stay warm!

What a pretty snow photo! I love your snowman! Bowties are looking good! I do'nt think I would like your temps though :(

Have a great day Diann!

We're expecting Snow tomorrow followed by single digit temps. Time to hunker down!

Pretty snow, hoping we can get a little bit! It is 9 here, which is pretty cold for north Texas. Enjoy your stitching today, your quilt looks warm and cozy.

your weather is pretty but darn cold I bet. I woke up to 11 which is cold for here. Your quilting is looking really good!

I would love a good snow, and the excuse not to go anywhere for a few days.

The snow looks pretty but the temps make great hand stitching inside weather. Stay warm.

Look at that snow! But brrr... that is COLD! Enjoy your stitching.

Winter made its arrival at our house too. Perfect days for stitching.

I love the blanket of snow, but not your temps. Brrrr! Your little snowman is looking great. I think I may sandwich a quilt to work under myself. That is a great idea. Enjoy your stitching!

The snow is beautiful, but I don't envy you. I was having trouble with my walk last week when we were in the 30's. I think we are going to be in the 40's this week when I go for my walk so that should be better. Happy stitching!

My 41 degrees sounds balmy in comparison! A very appropriate stitching😉. Do you use a hoop for hand quilting?

Brr, yes hand quilting a quilt in temps like those will be the perfect thing to do. Looking good.

It looks very chilly there, Diann. You'll be warm and cosy snuggled under your pretty quilt as you hand quilt away. Enjoy!

You work fast to get your bow tie quilt top all sandwiched so quickly. The best thing about hand quilting this time of year is it keeps you warm while you stitch.

It's SO cold! My studio is in the basement so it is earth-sheltered and cozy. I've admired those bow ties all along. A finish is in sight!

Diann - yes, it is quite cold here as well, and the perfect time to have a quilt or cozy blanket on your lap! After I finish commenting on your post, I am off to do a little slow stitching of my own! Have a wonderful week!
