A Slowly Stitched Finish and some Positivity Blocks

Over the last several months, I've finished stitching several embroidery designs - two from Gail Pan and three from Kathy Schmitz.

I've had plans in my head for finishing all of them, and decided this week that it's time to get those plans going!  So this week, I picked one, added a little quilting on it, and then bound it.

All finished!  I'm going to send it off to a quilty friend!

Sharing at Kathy's Quilts for Slow Sunday Stitching.

Also this week, I added a couple plus blocks to my collection.  It's been fun to see these blocks popping up all over blogland, in all kinds of designs and color combinations!  I'm including them in my Slow Sunday post because I'm definitely stitching them slowly, lol!

Cut a little...

Stitch a little...

And now I have 6 blocks!

Progress sometimes comes in bits and pieces!

Your positivity blocks are very pretty, are they all going to be red & white or are you going to have an assortment of colors? The little embroidered wallhanging is very cute, your friend will love it! Happy stitching!

The stitcheries are really cute. The blue bordered one will be a great gift for a stitching buddy. Your red and white Positivity blocks are bold and bright. Enjoy your stitching time this next week.

That's a pretty border you chose for your embroidered mini - your friend should love it. Love the peek at the border for Bee Kind too! How many plus blocks will you make?

So nice that you are finding time to finish up your stitcheries. When doing scrappy blocks it takes a lot more time in the cutting department!

I love the embroidery! It looks so good, and what a nice little project. Lucky friend to receive such a nice gift. The positivity blocks are great, too. Progress does come in bits and pieces!

I totally relate to the bits and pieces mode of working. For me it is because I have a lot of irons in the fire at the moment - reading another post before this reminded me I haven't made any of my purple diamond blocks for June. Well darn it, June is almost over! Maybe today? Maybe not. Thanks for linking up - love both projects you shared today!!

It is fun seeing all the pluses!! Love your red and low volume ones. Also, your embroidery. I so need a hand project right now. I hadn't thought of embroidery. I need to think seriously about this.

Lucky quilting friend. =) Such a pretty little stitchery. Love the fabric you used to skip around it. Lovely plus blocks, too.

Oh Diann, knowing you I have no doubt that you will finish with time to spare. the flimsy isn't due till July 18 and the finished quilt is due on August 22. I am glad that you joined the QAL. Thank you so much and oh yes, I love the red and white blocks.

The red and light is a winning combination! Good work on the stitchery blocks too! Finishing stitched items is a struggle for me! I’m trying to be a better, “finisher” !

Your embroidery is great and you do such a good job matching fabrics with the stitching for the background.
