To-Do Tuesday #37

Happy Tuesday, all!  Hope your week is off to a good start!  I'm joining in with Roseanne at Home Sewn by Us for To-Do Tuesday.  I don't always get everything on my list finished, but it's a great way to keep track of what I'm working on!

From last week's list:

1.  Participate in the "Created a Quilted Legacy" blog hop.  ✔  That was a lot of fun to do, and lots of great blogs to visit, too.  Click HERE if you'd like to see what that was all about.

2.  Get my blue and white embroidery with hand-pieced stars quilt top basted for quilting.  Not done yet.  This is how far I got -

The back of this quilt needs some TLC!  I'm still pressing all those intersecting seams
and trimming off the stray threads, but it's getting closer to being ready for quilting.

3.  Keep up with the QALs I've committed to.  ✔
  • The Book Club hand-pieced block, Claire

  • and Block B for the Centred QAL at mmmquilts -

So this week is more of the same - the blue and white quilt and keeping up with those QALs!

1.  Baste the layers of the blue and white quilt and get quilting started.

2.  Finish the 8th block of the hand-pieced QAL - that won't take long!

3.  Work on the A2 and A3 blocks for Centred.

4.  And these are the four tiny blocks I made for the Safekeeping Sew-along at Heartspun Quilts.  It's time to finish them into a tiny runner!

These blocks are 4.5 inches - with sashing, the runner will be about 4.5 x 18.

Looks like there is plenty to keep busy with around my sewing room!

All your QALs are keeping you busy (or should I say out of trouble?)! It's amazing how little bits of fabric combined with little bits of time can become a finished project before you know it. I have resisted the urge to participate, concentrating on my UFOs instead.

Are you hand-quilting the blue and white? I really like the blocks for the Safekeeping SAL, both the patterns and the colors you used. They will make a pretty runner; they sure look bigger than 4.5 inches!

Love all your blocks, but doing the mini runner myself, I adore your runner blocks!! I am hoping to finish the quilting on mine so I can get it bound and on my kitchen island today. I seriously need some brightness in our dreary weather pattern right now!

Hi Diann! Wow, those last blocks are so darn cute - 4.5" x 18" runner. Those fabrics you chose look so cute together - that low volume background is fab. Your bookclub blocks are fun, too! Finally, I am really looking forward to seeing how you quilt your blue and white quilt. Thanks for linking up this week. ~smile~ Roseanne

My goodness you have patience to hand sew those blocks! I can't wait to see your blue and white piece all done! Basting is my least favorite part of the process. Can't wait to see your tiny runner! Have a great day!

Hi Diann, you have so many cool projects going on. The blocks for the Book Club hand-pieced QAL are very striking, and the tiny blocks for the tiny runner are flat out adorable. Have a great day, Mary.
