Finally, a few weeks ago, I decided what I wanted to do and left off here:
matching the size and value of the sky pieces to the bottom sprouts section.
This I week I finished sewing all of the smaller sections together...
and then into one big panel...
and one last long seam to connect the two sections!
Measures about 50 x 60.
The next step is to finish the centers of the sunflowers and get them appliqued down. Maybe this coming week?! :)
Getting closer and closer!
Merry Christmas to all of you, my Rainbow Scrap Challenge friends! Have a wonderful week!

I love it! Your decision to switch to smaller squares was brilliant. It gives the illusion of distance.
You definitely settled on a great setting solution. It's such a fun and bright quilt!
Perfect! And Merry Christmas to you, as well!
Oh my gosh I love it! I love the sky, it is perfect. That turned out to be a pretty big quilt!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Love it! Makes me smile, and happy.
Wow, that is going to be spectacular!! Great progress.
it is looking good! love how it is turning out.
Yea for progress toward the finish line! It really is beautiful!
Oh this is one of my favourites! I was interested in reading about sorting the sky section, Diann. I have Small World by Jen Kingwell and how to stitch the sky pieces is challenging to me for some odd reason. I have it put away till I get better sewing skills. Meanwhile, enjoy our run up to the big day!
Congrats on getting the sky section sorted and sewn, Diann!! Enjoy your handwork that will now follow. This quilt is going to be SEW cute!
Looks great! Like springtime. Reminds me that I need to finish my sprouts.
Hoooooo, pretty! What a very good idea you got here, I love it!
It was worth putting this one on the back burner until you had it figured out. And it is looking mighty good my friend. I think the new upper background is just right!
Love how this came out! Wishing you a very merry Christmas.
Your sprouts is just adorbs. Love how you've gotten it to all come together. Merry Christmas to you as well.

Wowzer, great project Diann ! Love it so much.
Lovely to see your pretty flowers begin to bloom on the shortest day of the year. This will be a cheerful, sunshiny quilt.

OMGosh! I LOVE how this is turning out. I've been following you waiting to see how you were going to work out the next part and then the next... and I'd completely forgotten about the sunflowers. It's going to be so cute! Well worth the time it took to figure out just how you wanted it.
How cute is this! You are going to love those bright, happy flowers during these cold winter months! What a great way for finish off for the year!
happy! fun! pretty
happy week to you
So great! I really like how you brought the green borders up most of the way, but not all the way, to the top. It really feels like the green earth opening up into the blue skies! :)
How cute is that!! It is perfect.
It's fantastic! Such a fun quilt
This is looking good! Maybe you can finish it before the end of the year. Good luck with that. ;^)
You have it sorted perfectly. Looks great
Wow, that is just spectacular. I love the green sashing and the bright yellow sunflowers. Insert all the heart eyes here!!
It's fantastic! That darker blue at the top just sets it off and makes your dresden flowers sing! Can't wait to see the finish! It's AWESOME!
You have made such strides this week on your Sprouts! Loving it!!
