One finally finished and a little bit more...

Hooray for a Rainbow Scrap Challenge finish!  I started making these rainbow 4 patches as a leader/ender project sometime in early 2020.  It was a way to use up more of the smallest scraps, this time in 2 inch squares.  This is the first photo I could find of them from last February.

3 inch finished blocks - I made 112 of these!

Then, of course, I started combining the 4 patches with a light blue Grunge to make 6 inch blocks, and worked on a layout I liked.

Figuring out what I needed!

So... this week, the Rainbow 4 Patches are finally finished!

This makes a nice child-sized quilt, about 43 x 49.

And the back is fun, too!  Little Red Riding Hood pieced with some dark green Grunge to make it long enough and wide enough.

Also this week, I got caught up on the Full Stop sampler blocks with the hyphen block in orange for September.  These were quick to cut and sew, see the tutorial HERE.  Thank you, Angela, our hostess at SoScrappy, for coming up with this unique project for the year!

The orange strips in these are leftover from the backing of a quilt I made years ago, before I started blogging, so prior to 2013, and this is almost the last of it!

I put all the rows I've made up on the design wall, and I think this is going to make a fun quilt!

The hyphen row is actually the longest at 46.5 inches.  It's about time to be thinking how the layout should go.

Lovely finish! I quite like that particular blue. Your blocks always look so perfect. About your “likes” post…
I agree, apples and cinnamon cooking is a divine smell. How great the book club is meeting again. And your blue again, the variegated one, is so pretty. Great likes!

Your rainbow four patches made a great quilt, and a nice size too. Love the backing. My favorite thing about it is the light blue grunge - brilliant choice.
Your sampler is going to be a unique quilt!
Have a great weekend Diann!

Absolutely lovely little quilt! I do like the Little Red fabric on the back! Another week has passed and I still haven’t done my dash/ hyphen blocks. But I have been sewing some and entertaining a bit!

Your Rainbow Four Patch is absolutely adorable! I didn’t realize they were 3” instead of four. Way to use up those small scraps!! And the blue for accent is perfect. You’re going to have fun with the punctuation blocks, too, and I know you’ll find a great way to finish that one off too!

Congrats on a lovely finish! It's so nice to follow along as a project comes together, and then to see it all done! Good luck with the punctuation quilt, you've got so many nice blocks done for it.
