**I'm recycling an older post about one of the quilts I'm donating for Hands2Help this year. It's a favorite finish of 2021, and a great way to use scraps in a simple design. I call this quilt Rainbow Four Patch.**
Hooray for a Rainbow Scrap Challenge finish! I started making these rainbow 4 patches as a leader/ender project sometime in early 2020. It was a way to use up more of the smallest scraps, this time in 2 inch squares. This is the first photo I could find of them from last February.
3 inch finished blocks - I made 112 of these!
Then, of course, I started combining the 4 patches with a light blue Grunge to make 6 inch blocks, and worked on a layout I liked.
Figuring out what I needed!
So... this week, the Rainbow 4 Patches are finally finished!
This makes a nice child-sized quilt, about 43 x 49.
And the back is fun, too! Little Red Riding Hood pieced with some dark green Grunge to make it long enough and wide enough.
I think this will be a good one to send to Little Lambs of Utah! Sharing at Mari's H2H link-up for Sunday, March 27, 2022.
Lovely finish! I quite like that particular blue. Your blocks always look so perfect. About your “likes” post…
I agree, apples and cinnamon cooking is a divine smell. How great the book club is meeting again. And your blue again, the variegated one, is so pretty. Great likes!
That's a happy quilt!
What a lovely rainbow quilt, Diann!
I am looking forward for seeing how you will assemble the Full Stop quilt.
Oh I just love your rainbow quilt!! It's fantastic! That symbol quilt is going to be really fun!!!
the baby quilt turned out wonderful! the blue just really works out for it doesn't it
Yay for the finish!! It looks great Diann. Those asterisk blocks could double as snowflake blocks!
Your rainbow four patches made a great quilt, and a nice size too. Love the backing. My favorite thing about it is the light blue grunge - brilliant choice.
Your sampler is going to be a unique quilt!
Have a great weekend Diann!
I like your rainbow four patch very much. That grunge solid was a perfect choice and the backing is way cute! Your sampler blocks are also going to make a fun quilt!
Just a lovely finish on this scrappy piece!! I also love that grunge blue--perfect for those blocks...nice work hugs, Julierose
Those 4-patches look great with the light blue squares. Great idea!!
Absolutely lovely little quilt! I do like the Little Red fabric on the back! Another week has passed and I still haven’t done my dash/ hyphen blocks. But I have been sewing some and entertaining a bit!
Beautiful finish! Those Full Stop blocks are looking great. I need to throw mine on the floor and see how they are looking.
it's all wonderful. I love the 4 patches with Little Red on the back
Congrats on another beautiful finish. I love pieced backs! The quilting on it is perfect.

Yay for the finish, and what a cute quilt!
Your Rainbow Four Patch is absolutely adorable! I didn’t realize they were 3” instead of four. Way to use up those small scraps!! And the blue for accent is perfect. You’re going to have fun with the punctuation blocks, too, and I know you’ll find a great way to finish that one off too!
really cute quilt and it is a simple 4 patch - I like them so very much
A RSC finish, always exciting! The rainbow four patches look delightful, well done!
Congrats on a lovely finish! It's so nice to follow along as a project comes together, and then to see it all done! Good luck with the punctuation quilt, you've got so many nice blocks done for it.
Great job on the rainbow 4 patch finish! And the punctuation blocks look like lots of fun too!
Congrats on your RSC finish, Diann!!!
Both are wonderful projects.
Oh, it looks so good! Congratulations on the RSC finish! It always feels good to get those off the list. The blue was a perfect choice, too.
