Friday afternoon, I had my hand-pieced Scrappy Trip Around the World quilt to this point - two eight block units and the bottom four block strip.
Friday evening I stitched like crazy and got the whole quilt top finished up!
I'm so happy with how this is going! Next steps are pressing it, figuring out a backing, and getting it ready to hand quilt. So, back to embroidery for now.
Today's slow stitching will be to finish this design up...

Gorgeous!!! I'm in love with your rainbow quilt! It's a really nice size too! That wall hanging is so sweet! Have a great day!
Hooray!!! it is a top. It has been great to follow the progress of this beautiful quilt throughout the year.
Love also your "Bless our home" embroidery, Diann.
love all the color in that quilt! you will enjoy quilting this one. will you be keeping it or giving it away? I have so many quilts that I really need to think of starting to give some away - I would think to try to sell some but they are all large quilts and would need to try to charge a lot and most likely wouldn't get what they are worth
You did good getting that top all together, feels great doesn't it!
Nice rainbow quilt! Amazing that you did this by hand. Pretty embroidery in progress.
Such a beautiful scrappy rainbow quilt top! You will enjoy revisiting all of the fabrics as you hand quilt it.
Your hand pieced quilt top is an inspiring accomplishment! Enjoy your slow stitching today!
I absolutely LOVE this quilt top, Diann!!! You did such a good job with the colors and values.
Your rainbow quilt top is beautiful! Such cheery colors! Happy stitching!
Your RSC quilt has turned out beautifully, no wonder you are pleased. That's a very sweet embroidery and I like it in the blue thread very much.
I like how the variegated thread looks on your embroidery. Your quilt is just so pretty. That is going to be a lot of seams to quilt through.
And....so you should be happy with Scrappy Trip Around The World....it is beautiful. =) Your hand piecing together of each pretty block is lovely. Such a gem of a quilt! Your new stitchery is sweet.
I think you must be "Hand Stitcher Extroidenaire"!
I so love the center row being white consistently throughout the quilt. I am going to have to steal it when I make a scrappy trips. Love how your quilt turned out.
beautiful quilt - congrats
What a pretty quilt - another one to make you smile when you see it. Love the embroidery too!
Your hand stitching amazes me - just awesome and probably so relaxing. Your quilt looks great. Have fun hand quilting it, too!
Congrats! It came out great. I just rotated mine off my bed for a bit. It will be fun to watch this one get quilted.
