Red blocks made in 2018
Along the way, though, there was time to stitch a few more of my leader/ender Tiny Rails blocks in Christmas red scraps.
And a Tiny Tuesday block happened, too!
This is the first *ever* circle I have appliqued, so I followed Angela's tutorial and it worked perfectly! Thank you, Angela!
So now there are two!
They look a little lopsided here on the design wall, but I think that is more a reflection of my photography skills than my sewing skills! :) I know I measured correctly!
Sharing over at Soscrappy for ScrapHappy Saturday. Check out the links for some scrappy red inspiration!
Looks like you are having a great start to the year Diann! Thank you for the link to the circle tutorial. I have some plans to use circles this year and the tutorial looks very good! Have a lovely weekend! Christine x
Great job sticking to the plan. You have some fun projects happening.
I still need to applique my circle and it's almost Tuesday again! Congrats on getting your sampler close to a finish. I am adding more blocks this year to make mine bigger.
Nice projects! Looks like good progress on multiple things.
You are really whipping along! I love the reds. Your circle looks awesome! I assume you blind-stitched it?
I just checked out Angela's tutorial, and it looks simple and easy to follow.
On a side note, I really don't understand leaders/enders, in spite of the posts I've read. I don't know if I have a mental block or what. But I love those tiny rails.
do all of these blocks go in the same quilt or are they in several quilts. I like the idea of different blocks each month - gives you a variety of things to work on
are you just doing one of every tiny tuesday block? - your progress looks great
Yay for keeping up with the progress! I love that circle block!
I love how you just keep on plugging away and accomplish great things. Everything is so neat, precise and cute! This wild and messy sewist is jealous, LOL!!
Love your Tinies! Your circle is perfection :) Is that the same gray background as Squared Away?
I love love your fisrt block, super cute fabrics ! Beautiful RSC blocks, it's going to be a beautiful quilt, this year again! I'm amazed by your circle, so perfect, love it!
Looks like sticking to the plan works well for you. I don't know how to do that. Heck, I don't usually even have a plan to stick to.
Your two sampler blocks look great! So glad that you gave the appliqué a try. The setting fabric is beautiful
Lovely job on your first-ever applique circle!! Love those other RSC blocks, too.
Your circle looks fantastic! and I like those blocks.
Good for you on finishing things! I love your tiny blocks, and your circle is beautiful.
Thank you for explaining leaders and enders in a way my simple mind can understand! :) So it's a little like multi-tasking? I'll give it a whirl.
You are brave! I'm always afraid to start setting my RSC blocks until the year ends and I have a pile of them. I've been debating whether I should go ahead and set my Tiny Tuesday blocks, so seeing yours is helping me reach a conclusion. I'll have to check the stash for suitable fabrics and maybe (gasp!) make a trip to the fabric store.
Good way to start, with finishing in mind and your Squared Away is look so good, I like your grays.
