I was able to finish quilting Squared Away yesterday - it went faster than I expected, actually!
I quilted it in a diagonal crosshatch, every row of stitching about 2 inches apart, with a light gray Aurifil thread.
Binding is sewn on the front, and ready to pull to the back and hand stitch down to finish.
Mike will be watching football games today, so I'll enjoy some slow stitching in my comfy chair next to him! Have a wonderful Sunday, everyone!

What a beautiful quilt! The backing fabric is pretty. Happy hand stitching day!
in between organizing and other things I think I will do some crochet in front of the tv, I have some series to catch up on I think I have one or two shows of Grey's Anatomy to watch and one or two more of Bluebloods. Have fun with your binding!
Great finish, it's a rainy day perfect for football and hand stitching.
That's the perfect way to spend a Sunday! Congratulations on this beautiful finish. Enjoy the slow stitching. ;^)
That crosshatch is the perfect quilting choice for your gorgeous sampler! Are the backing and border fabrics the same? So cute!
Squared Away turned out beautifully! Enjoy your slow stitching time today.
You crosshatch quilting looks perfect! Enjoy your football and binding.
Love your quilt. Happy to see your quilting, as it can be done at an ordinary sewing machine.
Congrats on the finish. Love how you decided to quilt it. I saw my blocks yesterday while I was in looking for something... maybe they will get put together next month... we will see. Enjoy the binding stitching.
That's a pretty quilt, and I love the backing fabric! Enjoy your slow stitching day!
Happy Slow Stitching today! It's the perfect activity for a cold winter day.
Sounds like a perfect day! It looks wonderful. :)
Wonderful quilt Diann! Enjoy stitching the binding down, I love that feeling of being so close to finishing!
Lovely quilt with lovely quilting!
It’s a really nice collection of blocks, and I think the gray was the right choice. For some reason it reminds me of playing hop scotch. Congratulations on a fine finish.
Looks like it's binding Sunday at many locations!
I love having a binding to sew on a rainy day. Enjoy!
Thanks for sharing your pretty quilt with Oh Scrap!
I like how you are doing the quilting. I love your backing fabric. I hope you got a lot of stitching completed yesterday.
What a pretty quilt. Great crosshatch quilting too!
To those who want to ride the roller-coaster, I say go right ahead. There is no greater comfort than sitting in the warmth of my house in front of the TV, hand sewing the binding (or a quilt sleeve in my case). The grey sashing fabric is something every quilter needs in his/her stash. It is so useful. Love the backing fabric too. It is going to a lovely finish.
