Slow stitching this week...

Making progress on my Wooly Ewe.  The basket weave stitch in the star points was an interesting one!  Now I'm working on her legs, which are done in stem fill stitch - kind of labor intensive, too.

Meanwhile, I finished the quilting on a small quilt this week and have the binding all ready to machine stitch on.  The hand stitched finishing step will be my Sunday evening slow stitching.

Sharing at Kathy's Quilts for Slow Sunday Stitching.

that is cute stitching! I have seen some nice embroideries posted on Instagram lately - some are small and others are big enough to use as table coverings

Your Wooly Ewe is adorable! I always find stem stitch a bit tricky.

Lovely ewe! I haven't gotten to that one yet. Other than sewing binding down, I am having a hard time doing my other handwork since John passed away. I am going to try better this week, and not spend all week binge reading! LOL!

Hmmmmm .... I see a leaf quilted on the back of your little quilt. No peek at the front today though. How fun is that Wooly Ewe stitchery with so many different stitches. You're getting to be quite an embroidery pro!

Your wooly ewe stitches look great. I always have trouble with the stem stich. I watch Mary Corbet's video over and over and mine never looks like hers - lol! Umm don't you think it's cruel to only give us peeks of that pretty quilt? ;)

Woolly Ewe is a nicely rounded girl, isnt she. What will she end up as?
