While my to-be-quilted RSC tops are still simmering on the back burner, I did get quite a lot done with the little hand-pieced bowtie blocks. Sixty of them are now sewn into groups of four, twenty more left to work on for this step.
It's always hard to pick a favorite, but this one is on the list. I love the different backgrounds, and the mix of scrappy bits that make up the bowties.

This coming week, with family coming into town for Thanksgiving, it will be good to have some hand sewing to do while we're visiting. These bowties will be perfect for that purpose!

Who will do most of the cooking for your holiday? Will your Mom get to come for the day, or will you all go visit her?
The different backgrounds really do give the blocks more depth, or more excitement maybe. Whatever it might be - I love the impact of the variety. This quilt is going to be awesome.

Lovely progress on this project, Diann. I enjoyed seeing your cross stitched turkey. Yes, you can easily find a smaller font for the Gobble and it will be a perfect fix. Good cooking at your house. I've never thought of making salmon in the air fryer. Always something to learn isn't there!
Bow tie blocks are so much fun, aren’t they? Every fre years I get the urge to sew some up, but I love looking at the fun variety in others’ blocks as well!

I'm a fan of bow ties and used to always have blocks ready to sew (on the machine). But I've gotten away from it and probably have some blocks that need some friends so I can put them into a quilt. You are inspiring me... but not quite yet! Too much on my plate to start another project yet.
