To-Do Tuesday #72

Good morning, friends!  I'm checking in today with my weekly to-do list and linking up with Roseanne and friends for the To-Do Tuesday linky party at Home Sewn By Us

Last week, I made it my one and only goal for the week to get Rainbow Zigzags prepped and ready for quilting, and I did it!  Layering and basting is always a big mountain to climb for me, so it makes me happy to get that step of quilt construction completed.  I have quilted 4 of the 9 rows so far this week, so not quite half finished.

Just following along the peaks and valleys of each row, both the background sections and the rainbow sections.

It makes a neat design on the back, too!

Finishing up the quilting here, plus trimming and sewing on the binding remains #1 on my to-do list for the coming week.

But I'm adding two other things as well:

  • I'm making a bunch of tiny HSTs for a Valentine project.  I've made 24 so far, and need something like 55 total.   So I'll keep working on those.

  • I've been planning to join in with the "Stay at Home Round Robin" QAL and need to make my center block.  I'm just waiting on a fabric package delivery which the post office has been very slow on.  Hopefully that will show up this week!

Plenty to keep busy with this week!  What are you working on?

I haven't even thought of a Valentine project - I think I will pass on that one.

What pretty quilting, is that variegated thread? Love seeing those cute fabrics up close.
Oh the slow mail, even FEDEX is slow! Ugh, it has to get better, doesn't it?

Great Diann! Your quilting is simple and pretty.
For me layering and basting is also a big mountain to climb. So you aren't alone. LOL
Love those tiny red and white HTS, looking forward for seeing what you will make with then.
Good luck with the new To Do list.

I love when quilting on the front makes neat designs on the back. :-)

Hi Diann! Ooh, I love that quilting design for the RSC project. I mean, it is just perfect like the quilt top. Those are some teeny tiny HSTs. I am wondering where they are going to end up but I'll wait patiently. I also can't wait to see what fabrics you are waiting for and what block they'll turn into for your center. I have to get working on my SAHRR quilt top again this weekend. Thanks for linking up today. ~smile~ Roseanne

Cool quilting on the zig zag quilt! I hate basting, my least favorite part of quilting. Can't wait to see the Valentine project! Stay safe Diann! Hope you get your package of fabric soon!

Great job on your rainbow quilt. I'm working on Pachanga, I have to get the next steps done and photographed for the clues!

Good Golly, that's a lot of HSTs! Lol! I'm not going to make a Valentine's Day project but I too am wondering what to make for my center block for the SAARR. Looking to make a rectangular center. The quilting on your ZigZag quilt looks truly fun on the back.

Your quilting is perfect -- I love how it accentuates the zigzag lines of the piecing. Valentine's Day really is just around the corner, isn't it?!

I love the organized scrappiness of your zig zag quilt, and yes, the pattern on the back is great.

Simple quilting at its best! I do love it! I hope your two new projects go well. I will be following along on what the SAHRR girls create. I'm not joining in, as I really have to finish 2 more quilts before starting anything new.
