I Like Thursday #217

Happy "I Like Thursday," friends!  What a week it has been.  The world is full of worries, isn't it?  But I found a few things to share that made me smile.

I changed out my Christmas decorations for some cute snowmen!

Someone was having fun at our local sculpture park with this mama polar bear and her baby !

Mike had a doctor appointment today and I had to wait in the parking lot.  I noticed this interesting artwork on the building.  But then I was reading the sign, and that made me stop and think... What could an Adult PPE Clinic be?  Does your PPE get sick and need a doctor?  Hmmm...

I like this little embroidery design I've been working on.  Such a sweet design!  I like the bird holding a thread in its beak.

I started keeping this journal of books I've read in January of 2017.  This morning I wrote my 275th book title in it.   I read 74 books in 2020.  Reading is my escape from the worries of the world!

Have a great week!  I'm joining in with LeeAnna and friends at Not Afraid of Color  for "I Like Thursday."

What a cute snowman - I really like using winter decor too. Sure hope Mike is doing well! Does PPE have to do with personal protection equipment? If so it surely is an unfortunate choice for an acronym! :D

Love your little stitchers! Is it Gail Pan? It has been such crazy week. Hope Mike’s appt was merely a check up, but I know even those can be stressful! Hugs to you both!
Way to go, reading 74 books this year! I have not been successful in that endeavor lately! Have a good week!

Sweet snowman, Diann! I started a book list, but now I rarely take time to read. I enjoy it, but reading has fallen off my daily task rotation. :o((

Great job on your reading list. I fell way behind on my Goodreads goal. I think I only finished 39 books. Watching yesterday's Capitol chaos distracted me from putting away the Santas and getting out the snowmen. No rush, I guess since winter hangs around here forever. Hope Mike got a good report.

I have a fondness for snowmen, and I used to collect them. So I like that little quilt and snowman gathering! Glad somebody cozied up those polar bears too, that makes me smile. I enjoy seeing your list of books - good for you! I have considered making a list, but that's about as far as I got - haha!

The sculpture is awesome. I have a whole village of snowmen my daughter laugh at them. I am of the opinion I may need more. But I am very discerning in my snowmen choices. Love that you keep a book list. My mom laughed at me when I told her I kept a list. I really had to when I started using the library a lot years ago. Great likes

74 books - that's a lot! Love the snowman table topper. PPE - mine gets washed, not a doctor. lol.

So how did you like the book? I recommend Beartown if you haven't read that Backman book. I'll be starting Anxious People tonight. I'll also be transforming my house over the next couple of days too ... Christmas to Winter-themed (snowmen, snowflakes, blue & white, etc). Your stitchery is adorable.

I love the idea of journaling the books you read. That is kinda fun. I may copy that one. I do love books and have no clue how many I read last year but I seriously doubt it was 74!!

Love the polar bear fun! Your new embroidery project is so pretty. Hmm, PPE clinic? Where I work PPE is personal protective equipment. So maybe it's a clinic on that?
