A finish and some embroidery

Lots of stitching on my Humble Quilts QAL project this week resulted in a finish!

I backed and bound it in this brown that has a sort of swirly effect when you see it in person.  It's called Shadow Play, by Maywood Studios.

After finishing that little quilt, I picked my Kathy Schmitz embroidery back up, and have made good progress on it after a couple evenings.

The pattern calls for lots of spaces - like the clover leaves - to be filled in with satin stitch, and I haven't done any of that yet.  I may just leave them the way they are right now.

So that's what I'll be working on for Slow Sunday Stitching, joining in with all the stitchers at Kathy's Quilts!

That looks so nice on your table, and the backing really complements all those pretty blocks. I still love that blue with the fall colors!

The blue border with the brown center is perfect! Your embroidery looks fine to me without the satin stitching. Happy stitching!

it is nice to have a quilted mat of some type on the table isn't it. The big fire out there is west of you right? are you having trouble with the smoke or is it all blowing west? I hope it doesn't get into the park

Love that blue border on the browns--nice quilting work on this, too. It looks so pretty on your table : reminds me of brown leaves and an Autumn sky...nice work;))) Hugs, Julierose

The little quilt looks so happy and pretty on your table. I admire embroidery skills; I'm not very good at it, but I enjoy seeing other's work.

Love your little quilt, and Bee Kind was a fun one to do! I didn't fill in the clover myself. Have a great week, and great stitching day

Wow! That table topper turned out great! Your embroidery project is really cute. I'm not a fan of satin stitching, so a lot of the time I just outline it. Have fun!
