To-Do Tuesday #60: Progress and Prepping

It's been a good week for making progress on some of the things on last week's to-do list!

1.  My Humble Quilt is finished!

2.  HSTs made for yellow zigzag row.  This photo is from last Friday, but as of Sunday afternoon, I have made all 24 and they're ready to sew together!

3.  Progress has been made on quilting the Color Gradient Quilt - it's about 80% complete.  I just stopped because I had to refill the bobbin!

4.  And I did keep playing with my squirrel project blocks  - From My Carolina Home's Autumn Jubilee QAL.  I'm just making a block or two a week, and I'll see where it goes later!

So... I spent some time yesterday prepping pieces and parts for what I'd like to make sure I work on this week.

Tree blocks grouped to sew into 4 patches.
Yellow HSTs for the zigzag row.
The last few 4 patches to make for the double 4 patch quilt.

Here's what's left for the Double 4 patch blocks:

I'm filling in the top right corner with a few more yellows and then
some turquoise.  Then these blocks will be ready to sew together, too.

And, of course, also on my list, will be to finish that last 20% of the quilting on the Color Gradient quilt!  There could be a finish in my future!  👍

Sharing my to-do list at Home Sewn by Us for To-Do Tuesday.

Why don't I remember the color gradient quilt - I really like it! Your Humble quilt looks good on the table. Do you ever light your candles? The turquoise background looks so nice on the Double 4-patch.
I thought about you as I looked at my future design wall yesterday. I worked a little in the sewing room with the kitties while the painters finished our bathroom, bedroom, and closet. Now that the walls are painted I hate to put anything on them - lol! :D

Hi Diann! You've had a great week of working on your list items. My Humble Quilt looks so nice on your table, cheering up all meals enjoyed there. That backing on the Color Gradient quilt is just perfect, and I adore a nice crosshatch for the texture and quilty goodness it provides. Hmm, I don't remember seeing the Double 4-patch blocks before or many it's only because they are laid out on the design wall now. Good luck with this week's list and thanks for linking up today. ~smile~ Roseanne

You are making such good progress on your quilts. I had to chuckle at the bobbin stop - that sounds like something I'd do! The other day I sewed two blocks together before I realized I was out of bobbin. Ha! So I filled it, loaded it, and sewed the blocks again -- without threading my needle. Geez. Some days! Anyway, I'm liking all your projects!

You say humble - I say it is down to earth. Color Gradient will be a lovely finish. Actually, I have a feeling that by the time you read this comment it will be done :-)

Your cross hatching is looking great on Color Gradient, I bet you are done now;) And those double 4 patches have been a favorite, still makes me want to jump in! Maybe soon, we'll see. I should just take time to cut and then it would be ready for a few minutes of sewing here and there.
