After my big push to finish up the blue and white hand-pieced quilt last week -
I played with some other slow stitching projects. I finished putting together this little hand-pieced doll quilt. It measures about 21 inches square now. I need to find a small piece of batting and a backing for it, and then I'll get started on quilting it.
I also started a new Kathy Schmitz embroidery design that I had seen on a couple other blogs, and knew I had to stitch it, too!
There was even a little knitting! I'm enjoying this very simple dishcloth pattern, found HERE. It's perfect for a person like me who's pretty rusty with the knitting needles!
Today's slow stitching will probably include some more on that embroidery and some knitting, too. Nice to have choices!

What a cute doll quilt! You've gotten quite a bit done on your Bee Kind embroidery already. I found one knitting needle when I was packing up my sewing room. What happened to the other one??? I still haven't learned to knit, just crochet.
My DIL knits me dishcloths that we use exclusively to any others; they work so well. A dishcloth would be about all my arthritic hands could handle.
Love the pretty variegated colours in your dishcloth. The doll quilt is very sweet, so happy and colourful and as for the blue and white quilt, how gorgeous it looks displayed on the wall. It truly is a stunning quilt!
The blue and white hand pieced wall hanging is so pretty; you did a great job on it. I really like the bee & hive that you are working on now - that's something that I might be interested in doing ( my grandmother, who's name was Beatrice, chose to be called Grandma Bee when we started giving her great grandkids). I was almost tempted by that knitted dishcloth, but I know that my hands would probably give me fits if I tried; I'll just watch your progress :)
P.S. Would you please quit sharing your cold weather with those of us who are east of you? Yes, I finally got my furnace fixed, but I still have to go outside to walk Buddy. :)
the Bee stitching is such a nice piece! love seeing that on yours and others blogs. I will check out the knitting link - so many make these dish cloths and I never have it would certainly use some bits that I have
Good to have choices of what to work on. Your quilt hanging in that spot looks great.
The Bee hive stitchery is fun. I finally got the overdue baby quilt quilted and the binding sewn on so hand stitching it down will be on my agenda today. Since it's currently in the 40's, it will be nice to have a quilt on my lap to warm up with.
