Hoppy Easter!

Wishing you a lovely day!

I've been working on this little bunny in the garden all week.  There's still lots more to stitch, so that will be my slow-stitching for today, after we visit (remotely) with our kids and both moms.

A couple weeks ago I shared my embroidered bicycle which I have since finished off into a very simple pouch.  I started with a 7.5 x 21ish rectangle that included the bicycle design, plus additional fabric, batting, and backing.

Once the layers were quilted -

the whole thing was folded into thirds to make an inner pocket.  A binding was sewn all the way around to finish off the edges.

Here's how it looks all finished!  About 7.5 x 7.5 when all folded.

I can see myself using this little pouch to stick a few
sewing things in when I'm traveling again... someday!

Sharing at Kathy's Quilts for Slow Sunday Stitching.

Happy Easter! Your bunny embroidery is so cute!
Enjoy your family today, even if you have to keep your distance.
We hope this special and strange situation in the world will end soon. :-)

Happy Easter! Your little bicycle pouch came out great. Love the easter stitchery. I never think to do those until I see others making them! Maybe I'll have to draw one out......

What a cute little bunny, and the pouch is beautiful! That bicycle embroidery is really detailed and cute. I just read your last post and I did not realize you had so many trees! They look great grouped by color like that.
Happy Easter!

Is your bunny one of the Gail Pan designs? It's very cute. I saw one of your comments on another blog that you had snow and 22 degrees. So not springlike. We're in the mid-50's today and cloudy, but expect damaging winds tomorrow.Hope Mike is doing well.

That the perfect slow stitching project for spring, with that cheerful bunny. I can see you getting quite a bit of use for the bicycle, even if it's traveling from one end of the house to the other, for now! We have about 5-6 inches of fresh snow on our deck table today. Maybe this will be the last snowstorm. Maybe. Happy Easter to you both!

Love your bicycle pouch! Very fun. Hope you got to enjoy lots of slow stitching on your Easter Sunday. We decided that having an atypical Easter will help us really appreciate our next holiday, which we hope will be much closer to normal.
