To - Do Tuesday #3

I'm joining in with Roseanne at Home Sewn by Us for To - Do Tuesday again this week.  Hope your week is getting off to a great start!

On my list last Tuesday:

1.  Finish the sashing on my last basket block and get the top sewn together.  ✔

In fact, I added an outer border and got the whole piece spray basted so that I can start quilting it.

2.  Get caught up on the Tiny Tuesday blocks for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. ✔

All set with the August blocks so far!

There should be a new block out sometime today to work on for this week.

3.  Hand work projects for slow stitching.  ✔

Finished this one - now have to make a decision on what I will turn it into!

4.  Blue and white hand-pieced blocks - haven't gotten back to this one yet because I've been so into the embroidery.

5.  My mom's visit - ✔  She is safely back home in Arizona and reports that she had a great time in Colorado!

To - Dos for this week:

1.  Quilt and bind the basket quilt.
2.  New Tiny Tuesday block.
3/4. Hand- stitching projects -
I realized that I'm close to finishing the hand quilting on this hexie tablerunner that I've been working on forever, so I'm going to try to finish it up this week!

5.  Help out a friend whose mom passed away last week.  Many of her extended family are coming into town this week, so a group of us are helping out with food.  Today's job is to make a pasta salad to go with another friend's main dish.

Guess I'd better get to work!  Have a great week, everyone!

Glad your Mom made it home safely. Any pie left? ;)
Looks like your Do Tuesday goals are working out well for you, especially the hand stitching. Do you have a favorite stitch in hand embroidery?

All good things! So glad your mom enjoyed her visit, and that she is safely tucked in back at her home. Pasta salad - yum! I have a recipe that uses warm noodles, so it melts the fresh motzarella. It uses fresh basil, garlic, and it makes the kitchen smell soooo good. I'm sorry for your friend's loss, but I know the love shown to her will be so comforting to her.

I just love your slow stitching project about stitching happily ever after. I'm looking forward to see what you decide to use it for!

Hi Diann! What a great week you had! I love how your baskets top is coming along! It looks like you are ready to start quilting it - that will be fun and finished next week, I'm sure. Your tiny blocks look so cute all hanging out together on the design wall, although they don't look tiny at all! Glad to hear Mom made it back home safely. Did she take some peaches with her?!! I love that hexie project that's on next week's list. That backing fabric is just a perfect choice - could it possibly match any better?! That is sweet of you to make some food for your friend. That is often the first thing to go - eating - at a time like that. It's just too much effort to make something or even to figure out what to make. {{Hugs}} Thanks for linking up! ~smile~ Roseanne

What a nice variety of projects! Looks like you have been busy and will continue to be so. How nice of you to provide food for your friend's family during this sad time.
