I Like Thursday #126 - Spring!

Happy Spring, friends!  I'm ready for some warmer weather, blooming flowers, and more time outside.  How about you?

Those of you who commented on my grammar police photo from last week's I Like post will be pleased to see that someone told the business about their sign mistake, and it was fixed!  I definitely liked that!

Zoom in if you need to - the photo got blurry when I tried to crop it in too close!

The last few days, I've been enjoying flitting about between several different projects in the sewing room!  I haven't been able to settle on just one thing - some weeks are just like that.

Pieces and parts for block 9 of the Hand-Pieced QAL - Emmeline

Next week, we'll be working on sashing and borders!

A couple of patchwork panels that will become a new tote bag after I finish quilting them onto some Soft and Stable batting.

I even sewed a couple more hexies onto my long term hexie project.  I haven't shared this in awhile, but I'm getting closer to finishing this round!

We've continued to enjoy the shows offered by Acorn TV, which we can get through our library.   Martin Clunes is one of my favorite British actors, and this show, "Manhunt" is an interesting one, based on an actual murder in London in the early 2000s.

We are really liking "800 Words," which is set in New Zealand.  Thank you, LeeAnna, for recommending it!

This week I've been reading A Man Called Ove.  Have you read it?  It's been around for awhile, but I just got to it!

Ove is a pretty quirky character, and not very likeable at first, but as you get to know him, you begin to see why he is the way he is.

I liked this meme I saw today -

Hope these first days of Spring are treating you well!  Join us over at Not Afraid of Color for "I Like Thursday!"

Wow! Your projects look great! I saw that Manhunt was on but don't have that video service. I really liked him in Doc Martin! Have a great week!

Good Morning Diann! So glad to see the sign is fixed outside the business. It doesn't send a great message for them with misspellings. Spring has sprung! Woohoo! I knew we would all make it to March 20th but I wasn't sure Mother Nature would be giving us any Spring-like temperatures. Thankfully she did - we may be near 50 today. ~smile~ Roseanne

We are indeed enjoying some warmer temps, for MN that is! Snow is melting more every day. You must cringe at my grammar, punctuation is the worst for me. Sorry:(

Good Morning, Diann. Your projects are looking very nice. Score one for the grammar police. Spring is just starting to spring here, which means it is Massachusetts Mud Time. Time for a walk in the woods to find a vernal pool and listen to the peepers ... :-) Pat

OMG!!! That reading quote!! That is exactly me.... Alas, the dust just accumulates.... Your pieced blocks are so beautiful and exact. Mine never come out so nicely. I can't wait to see how they all come together!

Glad they fixed the sign! Yes, I'm ready to be outside and planting flowers or just sitting on the porch reading. Just talking to my husband this morning about what to do with all the fall leaves still covering out lawn. I've heard of that book but never read it. Hope you have a wonderful Thursday!

I also go through stages where I work on multiple projects too. Reading is always a good choice!

So proud of you for tackling the hand project. Can't wait to see it come together.

ah yes, read til the need to clean passes. Or sew. Can't see dust bunnies while you are looking at fabric pieces. I love the neutrals star in your last post too. LeeAnna

I like your color combination for your totebag. You'll be toting Spring when it's done. :-)

Can't wait to see your bag come together. I needed your green inspiration for the green quilt I'm supposed to be working on for my granddaughter! I like the dark interspersed with greens - did you use black or is that another dark color?
I had forgotten about your hexie project - it really looks good.
I notice you do several linkups. I've started so many "something"-alongs this year that I finally had to put the dates of blog posts on my calendar. Like someone is going to fire me if I miss a posting date - lol!

All those little hexies! Martin Clunes in something serious. Hmm... I may need to line that one up. We laughed when he popped up in Jeeves and Wooster. so young!
