and end up with an adorable owl! Thanks go to Sally at The Objects of Design for this fun block!
His head appears a bit wonky, and I think that's because I cut one eye a smidge too big. But he is his own unique self, right?!
Fun with green scraps!
I also got my Scrappy Sprouts blocks sewn into columns and connected with the Grass Green Kona.
Oh, I am loving this!
Right now, this section of the quilt measures about 30.5 tall x 63 wide. Since I want the finished top to be a tall rectangle, I'll need at least 33 more inches for the sky and sunflower section. I might add a green border to the very bottom to get more depth there. I definitely have plenty of fabric to do that with!
Happy Saturday to everyone! I'm linking up with Soscrappy for Scraphappy Saturday!

Your owl is so cute! I have to find the appropriate fabric and start on my block too
Also Your Scrappy Sprouts is wonderful! I love this scrap quilt! :-)
Those eyes ... He's so cute! I think your fabric choices make him more obvious than the original. I haven't had the courage to even think about starting him.
I am loving the green sashing in between your sprouts and it sounds like you have a plan, way to go. Little owl is just precious!
How cute is that owl. :) Boy, your Scrappy Sprouts is going to be a nice sized quilt!
I love the owl!! those eyes really stand out perfectly. I'm working on so many things I'm glad I didn't jump into Tiny Tuesday also - but I would have loved doing the owl.
I can't imagine a more perfect fabric choice for those owl eyes! What a cute block!
What a cute owl!!
Oh, I was so glad you posted your owl. Mine in wonky the same way.....so at least mine will have a "friend like him" in the Tiny Tuesday world. Your sprouts are yummy! I am anxious to see that one done!
Loving all your green blocks. The tiny owl is cute. I would probably not have noticed the eye if you had not mentioned it. I may have to make an owl to go with my kitty tiny block. The sprout pattern is a one I have been wanting to sew. Yours look wonderful. You are sew inspiring today ... :-) Pat
He is cute. I love what you are doing with your sprout blocks. I'm doing sprouts this RSC year and am excited to see how they come together.
Love the owl!! Of course, your Sprouts quilt is coming along lovely.
Awesome! I love the choice of fabric for the eyes.
I love your owl! And I love the scrappy sprouts, too. Can't wait to see that done. Bet you can't either!
Your Sprouts flimsy is looking wonderful. I love all the bright, happy colors. And your owl is too cute! I used to be obsessed with owls, and even named one of my cats Oliver Wendell Livingston (OWL). ...(where did THAT random thought come from???)
I knew I needed to see your owl before I could even think to start
Super cute owl! Lovin' the Sprout project!
Love your Green Owls and Sprouts, well done with these fun blocks.
Happy owl sewing. I'm about to sew mine now. Lovely spouts too.
I have SEW enjoyed watching your Sprout garden grow!! I'm really looking forward to seeing the quilt come together. Quilt faster! :o))
Love that owl and your sprout quilt! Looking forward to seeing your next steps for the sprout blocks.
OMG! I LOVE that owl. He is adorable... I could see a whole baby quilt made from him...... or her!
Such a fun little owl, but, Wow! Those colorful sprouts! Perfect time of year to be getting that garden growing.
I think it appears wonky because he tilted his head and gave you a cute smile. Love the little guy.
Cute owl. And I like that you have now sprouted some grass. My Sprouts are still lingering and need some fertilizer.
I'm looking forward to getting back home and sewing up that cute owl too. Your sprouts are gorgeous and really growing! Both projects made me smile!!!
