We seem to be in a weather pattern of storms rolling in for the weekend - at least that's been the case for the last two Saturdays. It snowed all day yesterday here! I'm not sure what the final amount of snow was, but here's how we keep track of the snow total visually!
I took this picture yesterday morning, when we thought the snow was about finished.
I think the snow on the picnic table was about double that by the end of the day!
So more wintry weather means more Winter stitching. I finished up the header and the first stamp in the last few days. My Aida cloth is a light blue, but it's still hard to see the contrast when using white for the snowman and snowflakes, so I'm using some light blue here and there. A single strand of light blue outlining Mr. Snow seems to bring him out a little bit.
I still have the last row of borders to stitch, too.
I've been alternating that with the fun stuff!
Wishing you a warm and cozy Sunday with your slow stitching!

Man kann ihn gut erkennen, deinen Schneemann. Aber die Schneeflocken in hellblau gefallen mir sehr gut.

You have more snow than we do. What a cute snowman!
Many thanks for your comment for the SAHRR 2025 - love your sticking, eva
I'll have to live vicariously through your snow, because I doubt we will get another 6 incher like we had a couple weeks ago! Your stitching looks great, Mr Snow is really cute.
Love your Winter stitchery project. We got a dusting of snow with the last blast. It was wild that the areas south and on the coast got so much snow!
Such a cute project and smart to alternate between the outlines and the fun stuff. Have a great sunday.
Just catching up here. I love the winter cross stitch and the blue is perfect for winter! It's so pretty. I was also checking out your other posts. I love the rectangle quilt and the background fabric you chose was PERFECT! I also loved the teacups you sewed and am in love with the bunny wall hanging...the dresdens are perfect! I've been looking to make small dresdens for another project. Did you draft them yourself?
lots of pretty snow. But hard to remove from the driveway and sidewalks after awhile I bet - do you have a blower, shovel - or someone to do it for you?
Gotta say I don't miss the snow, but we really do need the moisture.
No snow here, it's just cold and overcast. Thankfully you didn't have to get out and go anyplace. Love your snowman sampler, it's very cute.
Such a pretty cross stitch!
No snow here--but up North Florida sure got a bunch--like 6-9 inches on the beach--What???? I am also working on Melisa's sampler--I finally as of yesterday had all 9 blocks outlined and the header done--this morning I worked on the little snowmen in the header!!! Keep warm--hugs, di
Your winter land looks beautiful but just a little chilly, Diann. Your Mr Snow is very sweet. Keep warm, says me, basking in summery warmth. =)
Your winter cross stitch is definitely in keeping with the snow outside! Enjoy your stitching today.
I don't envy your weather. It is 39 when I get up in the morning, but 60's by the afternoon.
Brrrrr. . .looks like stitching is the best way to spend the day! You are making great progress on your project!
You are making nice progress on the Winter stitch. Outlining the snowman really did make him pop.
Another charming stitchery in the works . . . it's going up into the 40's this week so the snow will melt. (But it's very dry this winter. Not a good thing.)
It's a good idea to outline that snowman. This piece is looking good. I like your snowy scene.
