Table Scraps for May - mini sized

A year ago, right about now, I was finishing up this project from the 2021 Hand-Pieced QAL.

Of course, when I was hunting around for sage and forest green scraps for this month's RSC blocks, I came across these:

Not a whole lot there, but I could do something with them, right?!

I ended up with a simple design made of 3.5 inch squares and 3.5 inch four patches, like this.

I really like the orange flowers in the darker green up there, so when I was looking around for a scrap for the binding, I chose a strip of dark orange that I had.  And voila!

This little table mat ended up at 9.5 x 12.5.

And it fits perfectly right here:

It turned out there was just enough of the sage green left to sew up a chandelier block and a Bloom basket.  And the other two green Bloom baskets are in progress now, too!

Happy Scrappy Sewing!

the orange really looks good in that table runner. Always love baskets!

Your scrappy table mat looks wonderful! Yes, the pops of orange are fun and highlighting them with the binding will brings them to the foreground blending and mixing with the greens for such a pleasing look.

I like that hit of orange too! I always enjoy seeing the new quilt on your table. You've reminded me to link up my gingham quilt.

Love it!! Perfect layout for the prints. And those baskets are making me think I need to make some. I designed a pillow cover, maybe it's time to make it.

I really like that pop of orange. The mat looks so cute on your table! Although I enjoy many patterns, I do love simple designs the best.

Basket blocks are so cute. They are in my to do list for future.

Great use of those leftover chunks from a previous project! When I have just a little bit left of favorite fabrics I sometimes have a hard time cutting into it and using it up. And I love those little scrappy baskets. So cute!

You've done great, another little table mat, and several assorted blocks too. It's great to use up those fabric bits which are hanging around.
