Slow stitching this week...

I've been working on finishing up one of my Kathy Schmitz embroidery designs into a small wall-hanging.  It came together pretty quickly with a simple border and some machine quilting.

Looks like it needs some more pressing though!

I thought this fun floral and the green binding finished it off nicely!

One evening was spent hand stitching the binding to the back.

Other evenings this week have been spent working on my hand-pieced Scrappy Trips blocks in orange.

So many different shades of orange represented here!

Lots of NFL football on today and my mom will be over to watch the Bronco game with us, and to attend my niece's wedding by Zoom.  So I think it might be a good day to put some stitches into the Wooly Ewe!

Beautiful hand stitching, Diann, love the wall hanging. You have beautiful shades of orange fabrics on the world trip blocks. Have a wonderful Sunday and happy stitching.

I really like that I can enlarge your photo so I can really see your stitching! When you use the variegated threads are they DMC or another brand? I was thinking of checking out a green variegated for cactus, what do you think?

The pretty floral and green binding sets your lovely stitchery off perfectly, Diann. Happy orange scrappy Trips. A Zoom wedding; I hope you have a glass of champagne ready to toast the happy couple. Enjoy stitching your adorable sheep.

That's a really pretty embroidered wall hanging. The sashing and the backing were perfect and that green topped it off beautifully. We used to watch the Broncos all the time. I always remember #53 Randy Gradishar (sp?) and I loved Eddie McCaffrey! Those were the good old days!

What a sweet little wall hanging. Can you explain the triangular pieces on the back. Are they for hanging? Enjoy your visit with your mom, the Zoom wedding and your stitching.

Just caught up on your posts, Diann. I really love your placemats and that zippered pouch is inspiring, but zippers frighten me, LOL. I wonder what this backing fabric is as I really like it and I also like that shade of green which I find a rather difficult colour.
