Good morning! I'm checking in today with my weekly to-do list and linking up with Roseanne and friends for the To-Do Tuesday linky party at Home Sewn By Us.
My book club met (on Zoom) yesterday, and I finished the book just in time! It was a good book - The Dressmaker's Gift, by Fiona Valpy. If you like WWII historical fiction, you might like this author. I'm planning to read more of her books!
Other items on my to-do list from last week included:
- Sewing with my yellow scraps for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge color of the month. I made some crumb blocks in yellow, and more.
- Work on Round 3 of my Stay at Home Round Robin project. Progress made on the flying geese border, but not quite finished.
- Work on a project for the Salt and Sand blog hop in March. No progress... because I got distracted by a squirrel! A new tote bag.
So, going on this coming week's to-do list:
- More with yellow. I have an idea for a Table Scraps project - starting with some 9 patch blocks like this one.
- Finish Round 3 and work in Round 4 for the Stay at Home Round Robin. This week's border prompt is a checkerboard prompt. See more about that here.
- And, maybe this week I'll get to that blog hop project! 😉

Yellow and Pink is a happy combo and your crumbs look great, Diann.
Pretty start for February Table scraps.
You are doing a great job keeping up with all the challenges -- far better than I am. I thought your tote was a worthy squirrel to chase.
Wow, you have been really accomplishing a lot!
Good luck getting to the blog hop post. Sounds like you've got plenty on your plate already! Ha!
I read that book it was good. love the blocks you are busy all the time I think
The yellows are so cheery! Good luck with your to-do's. You seem to be staying on top of everything well!
It's looking very sunshine-y over in your quilting room with all that pretty yellow! I made my color challenge block yesterday and really had to look for lemon yellow fabric. I started watching the movie from that book, but didn't like it. Maybe the book would be better.
I have my Table Scraps piece done. I had to switch gears when my first idea was turning out too big for the space I planned to use it. It will now be a perfect fit for a small round table. I may add some more FMQ, but it can be used as is for now. I keep finding so many new ideas I want to pursue. I need to buckle done, make a list, and stick to it. Crazy, I know.

Lovely scrappy blocks, pretty colors. Your squirrel is a good one, what a beautiful bag, plus a clever idea! I love your start of the table scraps project, promising!
Your yellows look so bright and pretty - guess I need to at least pull out my scrap bins just to look at them! I like that nine-patch block, fun to see what you will do with it.
Hi again, Diann! Aha! A squirrel project - those just keep nibbling away at us until we succumb, don't they?! I love all the yellow featured in your post but especially that in the 9-patch block. Pale yet vibrant. Thank you again for linking up! ~smile~ Roseanne
Excited to see what you are cooking up for the February Table Scraps Link Party! Thanks for the reminder... I need to go schedule it. Have fun playing with all of those sunny YELLOW scrap projects, Diann!
You are getting things done! Love it all.
Those pinks and yellows look great together!
