To-Do Tuesday #75

 Welcome, February!

I'm checking in today with my weekly to-do list and linking up with Roseanne and friends for the To-Do Tuesday linky party at Home Sewn By Us

Last week, I finished up the little heart mini so it could be hung up for February.

Other things on my to-do list included:
  • Getting the second border on my Stay at Home Round Robin ✔ Done!  More on that in a minute.
  • Moving a UFO project forward into the quilt top category ✔  Done!  Read more about that in my Saturday post here.
  • Get going on a project for a blog hop coming up in March.  Progress, but nothing to show yet.  The blog hop is the Salt and Sand blog hop at Just Let Me Quilt.

What's going on the list this week?
  • It's time for Round 3 of the SAHRR, and the prompt is Flying Geese.  I've gotten a few made and I'm trying them out to see what I want to do with them.  You can also see my plus signs for border 2 - thank you to Emily from The Darling Dogwood for giving them a name - elongated plus signs!
These flying geese are 1 x 2 finished!  Tiny!
I'll definitely need more.

  • It's yellow month at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, so time to get started with my yellow scraps.   I've pulled out the yellow scrap bin and started to think about what I need to get done.  So I'll definitely sew *something* with yellow this week!

  • I still need to work on my project for the March blog hop, so that will stay on the list.
  • My book club meets next Monday!  It's time to read the book - that had better go on this week's list.  It sounds interesting, too.  Historical fiction set in WWII.
I'll report back next week!

There's always something to keep busy with around here.  Have a great week!

Still loving your February wall hanging! ❤️ Looks like you have the makings for *something* yellow, for sure! I don’t have a plan yet either! Hope your book club read is enjoyable!

I think your heart wall hanging really turned out well. The book cover looks familiar I will look it up to see if I read it. What did you think of the Michael Connelly book we were reading last week? had you read others in his line with the same character? It was a little different it seemed.

I like your geese! Your QAL looks like fun - "Salt and Sand" looks pretty good right now. Is your book club still virtual?

I think I like your heart mini better than mine - the addition of the word Love just seems to complete it. I'm still waffling on joining in on RSC. I have one pink block done (as a trial); not sure I want to commit to blocks a month yet. Let me know what you think of the book; always looking for recommendations.

What a lovely flying geese row for SAHRR! Pretty and soft colors. Well done on the list, and I'm looking forward to seeing what yellow blocks will be ;)

Wishing I had Valentine fabric with me to make something, it's okay I have several other projects to work on. Always fun seeing what you have accomplished.

Love your heart! It's just the perfect size for a quick finish.

Hi Diann! I just adore your elongated plus signs as a border. It reminds me of a cute frame I had for a cross-stitch picture ages ago, and it frames the center medallion block so darn nice. I look forward to seeing how your flying geese end up! Thanks so much for linking up today, my friend. ~smile~ Roseanne

I really like the look the elongated plus signs gave to your SAHRR project. Curious to see what you come up with for the flying geese!

Oh goodness your RR must be really small! Cute! And I love the tricksy way you slipped those plus signs in there! I've come across that book...I think I might even have it saved on my reading app. I'm a sucker for WWII books. (Revolutionary War as well.)

Oh wow! Your pieced heart turned out so cute! SAHRR is coming along too. I'll be looking up the book soon. Thanks for mentioning it!

Yellow is my favorite color so hopefully that will be motivation enough to get lots of hexagons sewn on to my scrappy hexagon quilt.

Love your elongated plus signs. Your round robin project is looking great. Take care, Mary.

Snuggling up near the fireplace with a historical fiction novel is SOOO tempting!! Your SAHRR looks great and those sunny yellow bits will be so much fun to work with. Nothing like yellow sunshine to banish the grays of winter!

You've been moving along with your to do list. Hopefully you've already checked off all of this week's list.
