Happy Thanksgiving week and To-Do Tuesday! I'm checking in today with my weekly to-do list and linking up with Roseanne and friends for the To-Do Tuesday linky party at Home Sewn By Us.
It has been a week of working on little odds and ends of things. I finished up the fall pillow I was making for my friend, Betty, and delivered it yesterday. I don't know if you can tell, but she was dressed to match it, and she didn't even know what I was bringing her!
I also got the November Color Challenge block sewn together.
Sharing this at the November link-up at Patterns by Jen.
Along the way, more four patches of tree blocks were sewn together, too! Progress!
Only a few more of these to do, and then I'll move on to
sewing up the rows.
And I *almost* have a completed Covered in Love block! I've gone slowly with this one to make sure I had everything in the right place, and now I think I can do more chain piecing for the rest of the blocks that I'm going to make.
Don't these colors go perfectly with my tiny Pilgrim people?!
So what's on this week's list?
1. Finish the CiL block, and make another.
2. Keep working on the Rainbow Jungle quilt top. I did find a border fabric for the Jungle, so I might try to get the borders cut, too.
3. I've been working on a setting for these embroidered snowflakes and snowmen that I finished while back. I'd like to move along with this project, too.
4. Most important job of the week: Be thankful! Have a great week everyone!
You’re being quite industrious! All of your projects look wonderful.
Wonderful projects in progress. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Turkey Day!! I noticed the pillow also matched your friends brick wall on the porch:) So you are thinking of a different setting for your emb. snowmen than what she did? I think I need to embroider these over the winter;)
Betty looks lovely in fall colors! I love all of your projects - your snowmen remind me I have a project box of redwork not touched in ages I had told myself to finish those this year!!
So glad you were able to deliver your gift in person. That CiL looks very interesting. Should have a secondary design when putting several together, I think. Have a great Thanksgiving!
Those blocks DO go great with the pilgrims. lol. Yay for personal gift delivery. Always a fun thing to do.
Oh yes, a perfect match! The snowmen are ADORABLE!!! Love them! I finally started on a tree quilt too--squirrel! Ugh! LOL But, I've always wanted to make one so here I go. Good luck on your to-do's!
It felt SEW good to deliver that gift, didn't it, Diann?! Very cool that Betty was dressed for the occasion in a coordinating outfit. :o))
Your friend looks happy with her pretty pillow! Love your snowmen and look forward to seeing the setting. I think of you every day when I look at my bag of embroidery waiting to happen - lol!
I keep thinking I only have a couple days to work on things this week, then I remember that Jenni and family are the only ones coming this year for Thanksgiving and they will only stay a few hours! Not used to that, but I'm happy about it - much less stress than several days of family and (selfishly) more time to sew!
A color-coordinated friend with her pillow - how fun that must've been, to give that gift! So many fun projects, as usual. Those little snowmen are so fun! Happy Thanksgiving!
Hi Diann! Hi Betty - I hope you enjoyed your pillow from your friend. You can see her eyes are smiling with pleasure and love. I LOVE your November block - that background fabric is just perfect to let the buff solid really shine. Your CiL block is gorgeous and it does look nice with your Pilgrim folks. Your list for next week looks like fun, especially the Be Thankful one. Happy Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Thanks for linking up this week and good luck with next week's goals. ~smile~ Roseanne
Lovely projects all, but those snowmen, adorable!
Your CiL block sure does go will with your Pilgrims. I like the sunflower look of the block. Those are adorable snowmen & snow flakes. Happy Thanksgiving!
I love your snowmen!
Have a happy Turkey day!
I'm so glad you're making a few CiL blocks! Kat chose a really unusual block for this drive and I think the resulting quilts will be stunning. Happy Thanksgiving, Diann :)
Hope you've got most of your to do list checked off at this point. I love those tree blocks and am looking forward to seeing that one finished. Enjoy your stitching time this week.
