Earlier this week, I finished up the fourth of the little embroidery designs I've been working on. There are nine in the original pattern I printed off, but I chose my four favorite ones to stitch and then out together for a little wall-hanging.
I sewed them together with some pink sashing and added a border of mini charms from a package of Caroline by Brenda Riddle Designs for Moda. Very sweet and soft colors!
The pattern directions say to outline each block with a running stitch, but I decided to make that a part of the quilting. So I got everything layered and pinned and that will be my slow stitching project for the next few days.
"Sew Happy" to be finishing this up!

Oh...these are just so sweet and adorable--I love how you set them together--the pink sashing is perfect!!
This is the prettiest of prettiest. Those sweet stitcheries and the tiny squares of delicious fabrics look perfect together. I agree with Julierose, the pink sashing is inspired!
embroidery is nice and soothing isn't it - I always find it relaxing.
Very cute! I have a few embroideries printed off, I really should prep one and put it by my recliner with some threads.
That is sew/so cute! Good use of mini charms :)
Lovely project, pretty way to combine embroidery with quilting.
It's lovely and love your layout with the fabric border! Wonderful!

This is such a sweet project. I love the fabrics that you chose to complement those pretty embroidered blocks. Enjoy your slow stitching. Stay safe.
I agree on having the running stitch part of the quilting. A very sweet wall hanging.
Oh my goodness! This is such a sweet, beautiful project. Doesn't slow stitching soothe our souls? Take good care!
What a great idea to make the running stitch part of the quilting. I probably never would have thought of that. Another cute little project. You're sewing (and stitching) up a storm. (I probably shouldn't say that too loudly, huh?)
Wow! Lots of purple wonderfulness. I like the idea of the zigzag blocks. (note to self: remember zigzags!)
That's a cute little quilt! Beautiful! Great as gift as well.
What a sweet project this is!
So pretty, just right for your sewing room!
