A Just in Time Finish!

I began this squirrel project back in January because I wanted just had to applique some hearts!

Inspired by Deb at Happy to be Scrappy, I made scrappy nine patches, too!

Eventually, I made 9 of each block, sewed them together, and worked on some quilting.   Just in time for the end of February, everything has been finished up!

Both machine and hand quilting are included in this runner.  I hand quilted the hearts with no. 12 perle cotton in ecru.

This sweet pink with sparkly hearts makes a great backing and binding!

I thought this would be a Valentine tablerunner for our dining room table, but it actually fits right here:

And that's definitely prettier than the vinyl
that the piano bench is actually covered in!

Sharing at all my favorite link-ups!

This is just wonderful Diann! I love it on the piano bench too. The hand-quilting is just a divine addition. Thank you for chasing those pesky, no, sweet squirrels and linking up with DrEAMi where we Drop Everything And Make it!

That's a really nice finish and you've found the perfect position to display it. Really satisfying when that happens

What a great finish and a wonderful place to let it decorate the room.

I knew this was going to be pretty as soon as I saw what you were doing! Beautiful finish and perfect spot for it. And I really love that backing.
Technical question: is #12 Perle cotton a DMC brand?

Oh, that looks GREAT! I'm almost tempted to try my hand at something similar, but am reining myself in... too many other projects here already. I'll just enjoy looking at yours :)

Those hearts and nine patches really compliment each other. Great job on the quilting and like that you combined machine and hand.

Looks fabulous on your piano bench!!! If you actually leave it there, your legs won't stick to the bench in the summer!! It will be beautiful anywhere you use it.
