Every time I see someone else's choice, I like it! Every single one! But when I audition some of my own ideas, I just don't know...
Should I just go with Kona White, which is my background color? With or without cornerstones?
What about Navy blue?
I know this looks black, but it really is a dark blue.
Well, then, what about a light blue?
Or gray?
Help!
Meanwhile, I did finish up the dark green Tiny Rails block I was working on in October.
It makes a great contrast to the light green one I made earlier in the year.
I'm up to 15 of these scrappy blocks now.
I'll definitely keep making them in 2019!
Hope you had a great sewing week! I'll be joining in with the other Rainbow Scrap Challenge quilters at SoScrappy for ScrapHappy Saturday. See you there!

I really like the blocks with the gray grunge sashing; I'm not sure why, but the gray gives the blocks just the right amount of 'punch' - the dark blue is overpowering and the light blue is too light. I like the white sashing but personally don't care for the orange cornerstones.... all of this is my personal opinion so be sure to take it with a few grains of salt :). I like your scrappy rail fence blocks, too; I joined in the challenge but I did the foxes by Elizabeth Hartman and did just enough for a lap size quilt.
I like the grey but I really like white! Have a great day and good luck!
I like the white, but maybe with gray cornerstones so they don't compete so much with the blocks?
I like the gray first and the darker navy second as it pulls the colors out.
I really like those last blocks you show - great use of scraps and could see that growing as large as you want it to.
I was loving the navy blue until I saw the grey grunge...and I REALLY love that one! Something about the mottled gray just makes all the clear, pure colors in your block really shine. But you can't go wrong with any of these choices. The fact that you're dithering means that they are ALL good :)
Just my two cents, but I like the gray-- and I never like gray! Must be meant to be. I vote for cornerstones, too! :)
I like the dark blue. mary
Some thoughts...At first I thought navy, but seeing your pic I am not so sure. How about a lighter navy? Or use the gray and then a darker gray for the corner stones?
I vote for grey too although I don't usually like grey!
LOVE the tiny rail blocks.... what a great quilt that will be!
I love the gray!!! But which would work best where you plan to use the quilt? Maybe in a room that has a color scheme? I think I would leave off the cornerstones, just because they might compete with the colors of your blocks. But you can judge better in real life what is working.
Well, I love Grunge, so that may be swaying my opinion, but I think the gray Grunge gives it a bit of rebelliousness, and I like that. Otherwise, I'd probably settle for the white, maybe.
With so much white in your blocks, I'd go with something on the darker side, maybe black or navy. Or you can do like Kate/Life in Pieces does and border each block in the color of the block, then use white sashing.
I like the navy and the gray. I don't think you can go wrong, any way you make it! Those Tiny Rails are calling my name. They will be added to my Some Day list!
I like the dark blue. I think that makes the colors in each block pop! Your blocks are so pretty.
I'm torn between the grey Grunge and the navy blue. I think either one would look great with your beautiful blocks!
I like the gray, or white, for your sashing. I suppose it would depend upon whether I would want my blocks floating, or framed.
Love your 2019 rail blocks! Lots of energy in them!
Hmmm, I will not help, I like all of them ;) Your blocks are just so beautiful, them come with everything
I dither right along with you. I am terrible about making decisions related to quilting. I do particularly like that cornerstone, but I love them all. Your tiny rails are progressing nicely.
