I Like Thursday #57 - Happy Thanksgiving!

I like rituals and traditions.

Those daily ones, like a hot cup of coffee or tea in my favorite mug first thing in the morning.

And seasonal ones, like raking leaves and cleaning up the yard on a beautiful November day.

How about a turkey dinner?

I love turkey and it is time for our annual tradition - I make the turkey at home on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, then package up the leftovers and take them along on a little road trip to visit our sons for the long weekend.

Meanwhile, a few leftovers stay home and turn into turkey soup, or maybe a turkey sandwich or two.  I like the little slider buns I found for this year's sandwiches.

Happy Thanksgiving!   Wishing all of you a wonderful day!

It's I Like Thursday over at Not Afraid of Color.  Hope you will join us to see what everyone's been liking this week!

Happy Thanksgiving!! I love the little oranges with your plate of turkey :) I had oranges in the car last night driving home for the holiday and I think I managed to accidentally eat a moldy one (peeling them in the dark). Alas it tasted very bad....

I remember you do this! So cool. I like traditions and rituals too, but I do like adding to them sometimes. Love that photo of your tea cup on your mug rug. :-)

Hi Diann,
I love tradition and rituals as well! I start most days with a good cuppa, and weekends I get to share it with good friends as well. That is the best! Today we have been given a gift of almost 60 degree sunny weather so I will finish up some minor yard work. Enjoy your weekend. ~smile~ Roseanne

I hope you had a good Thanksgiving.
I have a favourite cup, too. Well, a new favourite. I knocked the previous one off here in my sewing room (not much in it) and had to buy a new one. Not that we don't have a cupboard full, but...!
