November Scraps - Just Getting Started!

My collection of bow tie blocks needed some dark neutrals, so I pulled out a few black/gray/brown scraps yesterday and ended up with these -

This gray is leftover from my Stars on Autumn Lane project.

And some scraps of coffee-themed fabric from my scrap dealer friend, Cynthia, had to go into this quilt!

I've made 38 of these blocks - just a few each month since I started them earlier this year - so many more are needed!  This project will definitely continue on into 2018.

Linking up with SoScrappy and Quilting is More Fun than Housework for a dose or two of scrappy inspiration!

These blocks look so good that I would want a whole quilt just in those fabrics.

Thanks for reminding me that RSC is still going. I kinda put it out of my mind once I finished my star top. Time to dig out the dark neutrals.

Very well done Diann. I thought I would pass on dark but you have inspired me to at least try some black /white words fabric. Enjoy! ;^)

love this - I love Drunkard Path blocks and have made at least 3 or 4 over the years.

It's always a surprise to me when black or dark gray looks so good in a block. Yours are going to fit right in in that pretty quilt.

I love these latest colors. They are so good with your other blocks, too.

I love your dark blocks, you should do a whole quilt with those colors! After all what is one more project, LOL

Those bow ties are so colorful the way they are scattered in your layout. Love the coffee fabric, coming from Seattle, where my son had a latte business.

Lovely additions to your colorful quilt! The blocks will make a good carry-over project for RSC18.

Love it! I think a scrap quilt with lots of interesting fabrics to discover is the best kind of quilt.

Wonderful scrappy collection of 'bow tie' blocks! How big are they?

Bow tie blocks are my favorites right now. I love yours and how they fit into your existing collection. Nice job!

Love seeing them all together like that! Don't you love how scrap quilts have that extra kick because of all the memories contained within the fabrics?
