Slow stitching for a Sunday

Tomorrow is one of my favorite days of the month - my book club meets!  For November's discussion we read Crow Talk by Eileen Garvin.  If you haven't read this book, I definitely recommend it.  It's a good story about women and their friendships, family, and crows!  I learned so much about crows from this book - they are fascinating birds.  So I decided to stitch some crows!

My tiny beginning!  This is PinkernPunkin's
Ole Crow Saltbox.   Click the link to see Melisa's design.
I've never stitched any of her saltbox houses before,
but I think I'll enjoy this one!

Before starting this I did finish the two embroidery pieces I shared last week - my October heart and the November Woven Wreath section.

Hard to believe there is only one more month to stitch on this project!
I'm going to have to decide how I will finish it up.

Sharing at Kathy's Quilts for Slow Sunday Stitching.

That is such a cute crow stitch, and your pumpkin looks so pretty, especially with your magic coloring skills. Enjoy your book club tomorrow, and report on the snacks ;)

I am amazed by all the stitching you do each week, producing so many wonderful embroideries and cross stitch pieces! Gail at the cozy quilter

You've been busy with the handwork this week. Your pumpkins turned out really pretty. Do you know how you are going to set that set of blocks?

My hubby had some pet crows while he was growing up, so he is partial to them. I don't think I stitched any of her Salt Box's either. This might be the push I need to get one together for the winter stitchin'. Your pumpkin heart turned out so cute!

One Crow Saltbox will be sew cute to display with your Fall Sunflowers. Good for you! I’ve been eyeing those houses for a while. Maybe in 2025, I’ll stitch houses!

I find it hard to believe that your Woven Heart blocks are coming to an end; goodness this year has rushed by. Your October heart is pretty. Nothing better than sitting with a group and discussing a good book. This book does sound like a great read.

We've been reading about crows. They are very interesting birds, for sure. Can't wait to see your new cross stitch progress. Both embroidery projects look great as well.
