A little more Blueberry Taffy and some hand quilting...

Oops!  What's wrong with this picture?!

This looks better, doesn't it?!  All the shades of blue...

I decided to add in a few background fabrics that have a little print on them
to add some interest to the white space.

Hand quilting in the hoop is going along pretty well.  After a week of getting used to the hoop, it's feeling much more comfortable and I'm really liking the results!

Sharing at all my favorite weekend parties:

So easy to get an HST turned the wrong way! Good that you caught it right away. Cute blocks. I need to get started on my RSC blocks for this year.

I am glad you are liking the hoop quilting! Nice to catch the wrongly placed HST before it gets sewn into the quilt:)

So you're going to be a hoop girl after all - that's great! I still love the name Blueberry Taffy - might be the best quilt name ever. You have the nicest variety of text prints, and they look good with any color!

Your blue candy blocks are so cute, Diann. And your hoop quilting looks perfect.

I spy a Dark BLUE Plus block hiding in your hoop. What a fun selection of scraps you used on your Blueberry Taffy blocks, Diann!

So glad the hoop is working out for you! That candy just wanted a little more attention =). They are looking great.

Great idea using those lights with prints on with all the candy blocks. Hand quilting is relaxing and once one gets a routine it is so addictive to carry on quilting.

I like that plus block. I've been thinking of starting one this year.

I can almost taste those blueberry taffies, except here I think they'd be blue raspberry. Very cute blocks, and good luck with the hand quilting!

I love that you’re adding scrappy low volume prints to the backgrounds of your candy blocks! I’m going to follow your great example and do the same! xo

all you recent projects are just wonderful! I wish I wanted to do hand quilting again, but I still have a baby quilt I never finished hanging out in my stash. I think I am just over half way done. Maybe some day.

Your Lilly blocks look so fun. That wrongly placed block means the loony is rejected so you get to eat it. Good job on the pick up.

Mmm, blueberry taffy! Very cute blocks. I always liked hand quilting in a hoop, it's so easy to turn. Enjoy!

I am enjoying my hand quilting using a hoop also, but I don't like when I am near the edges of the quilt. Enjoy your stitching!

So annoying when you flip a HST, but at least you hadn't sown the blocks together totally! Looking good though!
