Still Slowly Stitching...

...along on my October pumpkin project.

I've added the embroidered leaves and vines and now I'm hand quilting it, Big Stitch style, using no. 12 perle cotton in ecru.

I love this fabric that I found at Hobby Lobby for the backing!

Thankful!

I always look forward to doing some slow stitching at the end of the day, and it has been so enjoyable to watch this little piece develop from its beginning as some hand-pieced pumpkin blocks!  Hopefully, it will be finished by the end of the month!

Sharing at Quilting is more fun than Housework for Oh Scrap and
at Kathy's Quilts for Slow Sunday Stitching.

That's such great Thanksgiving fabric! It's shown up a couple of times in my feed lately, so I think lots of people are loving that pop of turquoise. You're going to have this piece done in no time and on your table to enjoy for the entire season :)

That's so lovely. Did you do the embroidery before you sandwiched the quilt or after? I mean, does the embroidery stitches go through all three layers? I'm just curious here. It looks so good. Love the backing fabric. ;^)

The embroidery really fills in this little quilt, adds just a neat little touch! I like to have stitching at night too, but I don't always get myself organized enough. You will enjoy this quilt for years to come!

I got so excited seeing your pumpkin quilt on this post that I commented on it in your previous post - good grief! Anyway I love it! In fact I love everything about it. The hand-stitched tendrils just complete the look. The backing is perfect. Sometimes I find just the right fabric at Hobby Lobby, and I look at all of it every time I go there!

Simple pumpkins but your embroidery so enhances them just like the chocolate sauce elevates the plain vanilla ice-cream!!! Both very yummy :-)

Your pumpkins look lovely, Diann! I love a little embroidery too, and big stitches, so it’s nice to see how yours is looking! Mind you I haven’t had any to do for a while! Hope you’re nearly finished now!
