Mine is called "Flowers for Shanawdithit" because of these pretty florals that I used in both a purple and coral version to make 3 of the 4 stars for this quilt.
That blue with green flowers is the 4th star.
It has been a delightful experience to go from this -

Yes, that block on the right had to be unpicked and redone!
I've chosen a lovely purple fabric for the backing and binding, so all that is left to do is to baste and quilt my Beothuk Star, Flowers for Shanawdithit.
Only a few scraps left!
I'm still thinking about how to quilt this one, so I'll share again when it's all finished.

Hi Diann! I love hearing about how you selected your fabrics for this piece. No wonder the coral and purple compliment each other so well - they're from the same line. They both look nice with the blue with green flowers, too. There is one more disguised star in the very center with that lovely background gray fabric. Love the backing fabric - it reminds me of a Grunge. I can't wait to see how you quilt yours - that is of course what is hanging me up right now! ~smile~ Roseanne

Ripping is not something we like doing, but it's a necessary part in our quilting:( And it pays off to do it. Your choice of fabrics make this flimsy sing.

Wow!! Your quilt top turned out SEW pretty! I'm absolutely stunned by your planning notebook, though. I used to keep records like that, but not quite so detailed. The system fell apart after our last move. Misplaced (and later found) notebooks. It's fun to look back through the records, isn't it? Quite interesting to see the progression over time.

That was a fun little twist to that block until you had a ripping good time with it :-) Seriously, though, you have such a pretty Beothuk, and so thoughtfully made. The backing fabric is so pretty! I'm pondering quilting too, but I have some time before I quilt it. My quilting stints are going to have to be short and sweet for a bit.

I was sure I'd been here, but apparently not! Must be the crossover from IG... I love your version, love the fabrics you used, and love the name! I think 'Shawna'dithit too, but she's really Shanawdithit ;-) though I'm sure she wouldn't mind having a nickname, and she'd love the flowers.
