I like Valentine cards, especially this one Mike gave me last week.
I love you more than anything...
He makes me laugh! And I do like to laugh!
I like Girl Scout cookies, which are around this time of year, especially the Thin Mints.
Yummy!
I like all my pairs of wool socks, which I have worn a lot this month.
Can you read the brand name? "Darn Tough!" I guess they'd better be darn tough if I'm going to wear them as much as I have lately...
February is definitely a good reading time of year, and you know I like to read! Here is my current book -
I realized that I really know very little about the Kennedy family, so this book is fascinating to me. Rosemary was the oldest daughter, born in 1918, and her traumatic birth caused her to have developmental delays that affected her all her life. She lived a completely different life from the rest of her siblings. It's been very interesting to read! (Note: I just finished this book and should warn you that there are some very hard to read medical details about what happens during a lobotomy, which is something that was done to Rosemary Kennedy when she was in her early 20s. So sad.)
I also like having a book "savings account!" These are waiting for me on my bedside table.
It's another challenge week for Project Quilting, and I have liked participating in that this year so far. This week's challenge is called "Mellow Yellow." Here's a hint about my project -
I do like paper-piecing, and I haven't done any in quite awhile. It took a little "remembering" about how to orient each piece of fabric before I got in the rhythm of it, but my block actually went together pretty quickly. Now to figure out how to finish out the project!
Yes, it's still February, but I hope you are finding ways to like each day as it comes. I like joining in with the I Like Thursday group at Not Afraid of Color!

Hi Diann,
I agree about February - the longest short month, it seems to never end. One week from today we'll be enjoying March though, so I think we can make it! Oh that Valentine's Day card is perfect! Even more than bacon - you are the top dog for sure. You know, I work in Illinois and live in Wisconsin and we have two different bakeries for GS cookies. They offer two completely different offerings and they have different names! Go figure! Oh, and in IL they are $5 a box and in WI they are only $4. I will have to put Rosemary on my to-read list. I don't know that much about the Kennedys either, and would love to read to learn more. ~smile~ Roseanne
February is also my least favorite winter month. Your yellow PP project looks like fun. It's been awhile since I did any either, and I know that once you get going it's fun. I was looking at my stash yesterday and I have more yellows and grays than anything - weird!
Here I was thinking it has been a fast month, can't believe almost 2 months of 2018 gone already! I too just looked out at the daffy area last weekend, thinking that one of these days they'll be poking up-can't wait:) Hubby's that make us laugh-priceless!
I think we can all agree about February - never know what it will be like here but at least it leads to March which I know will bring warmer weather even if it has some cold days here and there. I love the Valentine card cute!
What patience that takes for paper piecing-can't wait to see the finished project. LOL on February. THIN MINTS-YES. They are selling them at Joanns now-genius marketing. Enjoy your day. mary in Az
We stopped a father/daughter delivering cookies on the sidewalk, in order to purchase some! I ate the bulk of them. What fun to see your book account. I read so slowly these days. I have an account sitting there but can't seem to get to them. I'm reading the latest Molly Murhpy and it's good.
I have a pile of craft books in the family room for looking at, good for a short attention span.
And more than bacon, hmmmm high praise.
I love paper piecing and that is a nice pattern! Love Thin Mints too (okay chocolate and mint=perfection). Have a wonderful week!
Thin Mints are my favorite, too. Cute and funny card. You have a keeper there.
Great card from your honey. It made me laugh...I used to tell Jeff I liked him more than brussel sprouts...I hated brussel sprouts. Now bacon....that would be a tough call. Thin mints awesome. I agree February is what I call the doldrums month. Maybe that is why I filled it with special occasions.
I love that you get valentines cards and funny ones.
I watched a documentary on Rosemary and was fascinated; I think she was the prettiest of the sisters and I also like how her life inspired Eunice to work with the Special Olympics.
Thin Mints are my favourite too.
I found January went by fast but February does seem to be dragging a bit.
That card made me laugh, too. I read something about Thin Mints the other day: I ate the whole box and didn't feel any thinner.
Took me a minute to figure it out: daffodils! what a great springtime flower. Good stuff.
Such a fun card! Love your paper pieced block, it's going to be a nice reminder of spring. Happy stitching this weekend.
