And then, you know how it goes... I didn't put the owl fabric away, and the next time I noticed it, I had to make something more out of it. So, it turned into this adorable 30 Minute Zipper Pouch!
This pouch deserves its own post, which I'll get to another day, but if you're curious about how to make one, you can find a free tutorial for it on Craftsy.
But then... since June is Yellow month in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, and the leftover scraps from the pouch were just sitting there... I used some more to make a bow tie block!
I needed a couple more yellow bow ties, so I kept going, with other fabric -
And that is my week in yellow!
Here are all the bowties I've made so far this year. I really like this layout, but of course, lots more are needed to make a quilt! I'm just going to keep making them until I have enough for something!
Sharing over at SoScrappy for ScrapHappy Saturday. Be sure to check out the rest of the Rainbow Scrap Quilters to see what they've doing with yellow this month!

the pouch has worked beautifully must learn how to make these the zip puts me off though used to put them in skirts years ago. Bow tie blocks looking really good all together
What a cute pouch! Looking forward to your post about it. Love your yellow bowties, and the scrappy bowtie quilt is going to be adorable.
What an adorable owl pouch! So cute in the smaller size. Bow ties are such a good go to block for using up scraps in two sizes.
That owl fabric is just darling. Great job finding so many uses for it!
Owl be seeing you...
I sure like the bowtie layout too. Like a wedding ring! Imagine it on a big bed...
You have made great use of that adorable owl fabric. Your bow tie blocks are looking wonderful!
That yellow owl fabric is just too cute and I love that pouch!
You have lots of cute, fabrics in the bow ties. Keep doing that and you will have a charming I Spy quilt.
You've arranged your Bow Ties into my favorite setting for those blocks. Keep sewing and EVENTUALLY you'll have enough for a quilt!! Enjoy your weekend. I hope it includes some quilting time, as I know mine will!!
Love the "one yellow thing leads to another"! The zipper po.uch will be so useful
You had some yellow goodness going on! I think everyone is interested in making that little pouch.
Great yellow projects! Isn't it fun when fabric speaks to you?!
I like how one thing led to another. That's one cute owl fabric I don't have!
What cute fabric! No wonder you just kept using it. Really cute little zipper pouch.
