I finished out September with my daily stitching...
And moved on to October! October 2nd has a butterfly because we went to the Butterfly Pavilion down in Denver that day. That is such a sweet experience! I'll share some photos in my Thursday post. This is the first daily square where I actually drew the shape before I stitched it.
The whole piece looks like this right now - you can see July, August, and September in the top row, and then it skips down to October on the bottom left. I just started this project on September 26th.
The new start for October is Broom Hilda, a design from Melisa at PinkernPunkin. I think she's so cute with her purple hair and green skin! Her hat and dress are supposed to be stitched in black, and I couldn't find a bit of it in my stash, so I chose a very dark gray instead. I think that's working fine for the clothing, but not so much for her eyes and mouth. So I'll need to go pick up some black floss!

These projects are so neat! I do love those leaves and that butterfly is so pretty!
Your daily stitching looks amazing. Great job on that butterfly. Maybe you're uncovering some hidden talent? Have a peaceful Sunday.
You have the perfect stitch going on for October with Broom Hilda. The butterfly seems to be the perfect stitch on the daily stitching project.
Your daily stitching project is really coming along. Love the witch. A perfect project for this time of year. I have the urge to start a Halloween quilt, probably won't, but I'm so tempted.
Your year of stitches is going to be such fun to watch. Great start! Sarah quilting by the sea
Your daily stitching project is very cool - love the butterfly! Isn't Broom Hilda a scream! Love the purple on her.
Your daily stitching project looks great, Diann. It seems that all stitchers are in need of black thread...
did you need to draw all that design on the fabric first or did it come that way?
Your daily stitching looks interesting. How is it that we all seem to run out of black? I have started buying multiples of it. Enjoy your stitching.
Oh! I love your daily stitching piece! Lovely!
Your daily stitching project is fascinating!! I can see where this can become a diary of sorts for the year.
Your daily stitch is so pretty and I bet a lot of fun to work on. Love that buttery square and I cannot wait to see photos of your visit to the Butterfly Pavilion. Aaw Broom Hilda is as cute as a button. I look forward to seeing her all stitched up. Love the pretty purples you are using. Thank you for adding her to your October stitching, Diann . Have an awesome day. Hugs.

Hi Diann, I wish that I would get into my daily stitching project - it'll probably take me years to finish it. Keep on stitching :-)
Your stitching, as usual, is so neat and lovely. Hope you found black floss!
