Good morning, friends, and Happy Thursday! And a hello from my mom, too, on Valentine's Day. I found this sweet bouquet of flowers at our grocery store for only $12.99! (Not that I want to be cheap when it comes to my mom, lol! But the price makes it easy to pick up a little bouquet and take it to her every now and then.)
For myself, I chose a bouquet of daffodils, my favorite flower! I was glad to see them at the grocery store, too.
We've been enjoying Season 5 of All Creatures Great and Small on our PBS channel 6. I like the addition of young Jimmy who likes to go along with his dad and "help out!"
LeeAnna's question of the week is about our favorite subject in school. And thinking back - I liked them all! Maybe I was not quite so into science as all the rest of the subjects, but I did end up liking teaching science when I taught 5th grade. But my most favorite classes in school were music classes. I was in choir, band, orchestra, and lots of other music related activities when growing up. Here's a picture of the choir from my senior yearbook in 1972. Can you find me?
Hope you're having a good week!

We watch All Creatures Great and Small too. Love that show. I have valentines tulips. Gail at the cozy quilter
Daffodils are such a happy flower! They are my favorite spring flower! No, I couldn't find you!
Love seeing your Mom and hope she enjoyed her flowers! It is so nice to have fresh flowers. Decades ago I would stop at a flower shop every week and buy a dozen daisies for $1.00! Unheard of now. Have you read the James Herriot series? If not I highly recommend them. I've read them over and over, and they never fail to make me laugh helplessly. Surprisingly I can't find you in the photo!
Flowers are so nice and it's good when you can find them for a reasonable price. At least on the school subject front you and I pretty much opposites. I never liked the music stuff, but loved the science classes.
Daffodils! I love when they come out. Are you in the second row from the top?
Such lovely flowers! Thanks for the reminder of that show. We need to catch up on a couple of seasons.
Love the photo of your Mom--and flowers are always nice--as for my favorite subjects in school--I had just 2 Math and home Ec--took all the Math classes all through high school--got all A's--except maybe in Geometry--all those angles confused me--and look at me know--with quilting--and alot of angles to figure out!!!
hugs, di
Your mother looks so beautiful with her Valentine flowers. Lovely bouquet and a steal of a price. Your daffodils just speak Spring! I'm among the majority and can't pick you out of the choir. What range did you sing?
Awe, your Mom looks great, Diann. I'm sure she loved the flowers. The daffodils are so pretty. They are sitting on a pretty table runner. My daughter was in choir. She must have gotten the talent from my husband because I can't carry a tune in a five-gallon bucket. I hope you tell where you are in the photo.
I bet your mom still likes to get flowers - I know I do! I was not good in music class but did belong in the choir - History/geography were my favorite classes and Art! I hated the sciences and math
A stab in the dark...are you front row, fifth from the right?
I have read the James Herriot books...loved them! Maybe I should check out the PBS series.
I have been thinking that I should get myself a bouquet of flowers the next time that I am out and about. I don't go out very often, but flowers sure do bring a lot of sunshine with them! 💐
