February in the neighborhood is all about Valentine's Day! Living in a town named Loveland, you can see how that would have to be so.
And, with February being the month for green in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, this house needed some green in it, too. I just happened to find the perfect scrap to use for parts of the house.
Green with hearts!
So, the February house is all about green, and hearts, and giving flowers!
I made a new tree for the neighborhood, too. I've been making the trees with stitch and flip flying geese, instead of the no waste method where you can make the geese a bit big and square them up. Unfortunately, that's causing my trees to be a bit wonky!
Hopefully, I'll be able to square things up with some sashing!
But this method does give me some bonus HSTs, so I like that.
The neighborhood is growing!

Your little neighborhood is really looking great--I love the wonky trees--just like Mother Nature's--they all grow differently, right?
Hugs for a great upcoming weekend Julierose
The fabric is absolutely perfect for this next house. The neighborhood is growning and looking very nice, Diann.
I love that photo with the view of the mountains over the lake. Do you have views of the mountains everywhere in your town? The green with hearts fabric is perfect for your February house! I like your trees against the blue sky. I have some bonus HSTs too, I can never resist sewing them up. :)
That's neat how you are teaming each house with the holiday of the month. You better get your St. Patty's fabric ready for next month:)
Nature isn't always perfectly straight, so your newest tree is a product of nature, it's not wonky. Love your neighborhood so far. Very fun blocks.
That is a great neighborhood The latest house fits perfectly!
what is better for Valentine's Day then a Valentine house!!
Your neighborhood is coming together so nicely, Diann. I love all your special focus fabics and the trees tie them all together. Got to get my block done this week, the parts are made !
Very cute house block to add to the neighborhood.
Most trees in nature are wonky in some way. Yours will fit right in. And the green fabric with hearts was a perfect find with this month's block.

Lovely bits of GREEN in those Neighborhood blocks, Diann!
what a perfect addition to your neighborhood. I like driving thru Loveland in February - its such a happy place!
Your houses and trees are adorable! Your quilt town will be as special as your real town!
Looking good in your neighborhood!
Just a thought -- most trees look a bit wonky in nature. The only trees that don't are usually Christmas trees that are shaped either as they grow or just before they are felled. So, the trees all look good to me!
I am a fan of the wonky trees, Diann. They add some life to the piece...like they are dancing in the breeze! :)
I'm finally looking at everyone's posts & I love your cute little neighborhood. Wonky trees = fun!
Hi Diann, those are such cute houses. I'm so happy that you're playing along with us!
