First of all, thank you to everyone who visited my blog and left a comment during Melva's Christmas in July blog hop! Gail at The Cozy Quilter won the fat quarter giveaway, and I'll be sending those off to her this morning.
I also finished up the tablerunner made out of the leftover batik strips from Glowing Hearts. This was truly a "Drop Everything and Make It" project because I just couldn't stop working on it until it was done!
I followed the braid shape to quilt it, so that was quick and easy, too.
Here's the pieced backing that I shared the making of last week. I think you can see the quilting even better on the back.
This is even bound with leftover strips!
And on the table. I think this is very summer-y!
In other sewing this week, I've pulled out the Patchwork Hearts project (blocks made in 2024 for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge) and continued on with the quilting.
This is row 2 of 5. I'm going to have to think about the
sashing fabric that will connect the rows pretty soon!
Angela chose aqua for the August color of the month for the RSC, but this row doesn't have any aqua, so I'm focusing on the light blue heart right now. I've quilted all the lines in one direction and now going back the other way.

I’m excited to be getting a squishy parcel in the mail! Thanks Diann! Such a pretty runner for your table. The hearts quilting is coming along nicely. I’m on a quilting kick right now…I have a deadline on a couple of projects and there are several quilt tops in line after that. Time to get them done! Gail at the cozy quilter
Your braid turned out perfectly! And your quilting on the heart is looking fantastic.
Just lovely projects on the go you are working on!! The heart is so pretty and your table runner is definitely summery...nice works
hugs, Julierose
Congratulations to Gail! Your Dreami runner turned out so pretty, and the quilting you did on it looks really nice.
Happy Wednesday, Diann. Congratulations to Gail . It was a great Christmas Blog Hop. Your braid table runner is absolutely darling and your quilting is fabulous. I love that it is reversible. Have a fabulous day working on your heart quilt today. Hugs.
I like that braid and the back is so nice too you can reverse it and use both sides.
It's a cute little runner.
Lovely fabrics for your table runner! Love that it's two sided. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

Look at you quilt! Soon you'll have 2 finished projects. That will look really good on the upcoming Stash Report! Lol! Can I borrow some of your numbers???? Hahaha!
Had to come get some braid inspiration again. Camping last weekend so didn't have a chance to look for my pattern and ruler.
The table runner does have a nice summer vibe. The quliting on the hearts looks great. I was considering a cross hatch for Glowing Hearts when I get that far.
Gotta love those "Dreami" projects, they just won;t wait their turn, LOL! Very pretty runner and how great it all came from scraps. How great that you are using the "quilting in sections" method. I did a wallhanging that way once but still have a Christmas one started that way that I need to get back to one day. That qulting method is a lot less to maneuver under the throat space for sure!
Love how your braid runner turned out! It is very summery. I hope you have a great weekend away. Can’t wait to see your chained hearts quilt done.
Your tablerunner is to die for, Diann! I adore those colors!!
Very summery runner-the colors are the bomb! In other news, I'm currently hand sewing down the binding on my Patchwork Hearts, so look for that finish soon, my twinner quilter! :) LOL
Your braid runner finished beautifully. I love the quilting you are doing on the heart.
