Happy (almost) 4th of July! The gals at my mom's house never disappoint with their cute decorations.
There have been a bunch of baby bunnies in our yard the last couple weeks. They are so cute! (Even if they are naughty!)
I said I would report back on my reusable zip-lock bags, so here we are after having them for a week!
I like them! The zipper part is well-made and stays tight.
Food stays fresh, too.
The "downside" is you do have to wash them. But a little warm, soapy water, and then rinse and let drip dry does the trick! I hang them on a wine bottle.
Cheers! 🍷 😜
I got an unexpected package in the mail yesterday, from Libby at Life on the Hill. She's keeping me in penguins. Look, they have boots - love it! Thank you, Libby!
LeeAnna's question of the week is about picnics. I always love a picnic! When we travel, we take a cooler with picnic food and look for places we can have our lunch. Lunch with a view is always a favorite!
And then there's a picnic at a winery. Also a favorite!
In fact, we haven't had a picnic lunch in a few weeks - time to take care of that!

Picnic lunches are a favourite here too. The bunnies wreck havoc In my gardens too…good thing for them that they are so cute. Gail at the cozy quilter
Lunch with a view. . .loved your explanation of a picnic lunch! Yes, those lunches are the best. The bunnies here eat our little roses so much that they don't have many leaves or blooms! Cute but naughty is a great description!
Penguins with boots! Those bunnies are so cute, LOL on them being naughty! I still remember church picnics from when I was a kid. Never had to do any work, just play then eat, then play some more. My most memorable picnic was when our kids were little and we lived in Oklahoma City. I fried a chicken and made brownies from scratch and a side dish or two, but it was all so effortless back then, even with little kids. Wish I had that energy now!
The boots are adorable on the penguins! Fun! Picnic at a winery! Yes!
I wonder how those zip bags would be in the freezer. I like that the corners seem rounded as that would make it easier to wash out.
interesting on the bags I might look and see how I like them. I use a lot though for dividing meat up into smaller packages and other things. Nice penguins! I like picnic lunches. I like your 4th of July gnome
Thank you for sharing your review of those sandwich bags. They do sound like a practical and useful solution! The penguins with boots fabric is adorable! The Hubster and I also keep a cooler in the car. We love being able to stop whenever and wherever to have a picnic! :)
I'm going to look for some of those re-usable bags. Often a hard sided container is just not best, when you need to push the air out to keep a food fresh.
Baby bunnies are the cutest! Even if they are bad. I like your bag drying rack. ;-)
Thanks for the update on the bags! I was wondering how you dry them--very clever! Love that penguin fabric Libby sent you! Baby bunnies are so cute! Have a great weekend!
Thanks for the update on the reusable zippy bags. Good to know! How fun to get penguins in the mail. Sweet surprises are the BEST!
My Guy likes those bags for storing bread, they work really well for that. That penguin fabric is really cute. Hope you find a fun project for it.
