Progress!

But before I share this week's progress, I have to say Happy Veterans Day to my veteran.  It hasn't been the best week dealing with Covid, but he made it through, and is feeling better already.

Cheers!

Meanwhile, this week I've continued to make progress on my 2023 Rainbow Scrap Challenge quilt projects.   Rows 1 - 4 of the bowties are sewn into foursies.

And the split 9s are a quilt top.  I just love this - it's an anything goes quilt - my favorite kind!

I've stocked up on batting and some wide backing yardage,
so it shouldn't be too hard to get this finished up fairly soon.
Although, to be honest, there are two older RSC quilt tops in the
"to-be-quilted" line ahead of this one!

Here's another favorite block I revisited this week.

Ice skating penguins and little tiny skiers!

Sharing at SoScrappy for ScrapHappy Saturday.

Your split 9-patch quilt is beautiful. I've been eyeing the blocks as you post them, wondering how you would arrange them in a quilt. Now I know and I want to make some.

Another one of those easy but oh-so-effective designs.

Please thank Mike for his service for me! Glad he is on the mend. It always amazes me how those "foursies" (love that!) form a kind of circle. LOVE your split nines, and that favorite blocks is the best. :)

Sweet tops coming to completion. They're very cheerful and your settings are perfect. So I guess now you have 4 tops in the to-be-quilted pile! Lol! Hope your Veteran is feeling better each day. Covid stinks!

Happy Veteran's Day to your veteran, Diann! I hope he got a free meal somewhere in town today. My dad always enjoyed a steak dinner at Applebees! Great progress on your RSC projects!!! I enjoy seeing all the RSC quilt varieties!

I love your split 9-patch quilt! It's so cheery and bright, perfect for the coming winter. My to-be-quilted pile is also quite large, but still fun to look at! Glad your veteran is recovering. Will we ever be done with Covid?

glad he had the vaccine, the new variant is said to be worse... drew doesn't have covid but it's a horror show around here. 10 days now, he's still in bed, they don't know what virus it is.
i LOVE your scrap quilts!!! the top is a favorite for sure, I love it. How will you quilt it or do you send it out? quilting adds a lot, so it's always a big decision how to quilt one.
Happy Vet's day to Mike, he deserves a big thank you for his work on behalf of our country. He and other put their lives on the line to keep America safe

I'm glad Mike is feeling better. Lots of
Covid going around again. I need to get the latest shot. Waited because I have to fly to Houston in mid-Decemeber for my oldest grandson's wedding.
I love your split 9-patch layout and may copy it. I had another layout chosen, but it means I'd have to make 2 more of each color block. Your layout would solve that problem. I'm not getting much done as I hurt my back earlier in the week, dumping a cartload of black walnuts. I wish the deer would add black walnuts to their diet.
