Slow stitching this week...

has been lots of embroidery!  I finished up the Great Pumpkin Haul, and added some little borders of orange and black.  Quilted with embroidery floss, then bound in a black print, it's now hanging on my fridge in the spot I've been using for seasonal embroidery finishes.

I love the blackbird on this design!  As I was stitching it, we had several days where a flock of Redwing blackbirds would descend on our yard and take it over for awhile, even trying to eat out of the feeders.  I never could get a good photo of them, but there seemed to be hundreds of them!

I'm keeping up with the Autumn Mystery SAL at Days Filled with Joy.  This week's addition was some pumpkins!  One more box to fill - what will it be?

Even though it is technically still Autumn here, we had a brief taste of winter Thursday night into Friday, with an inch or so of snow!  So it seemed appropriate to trace another Kathy Schmitz design called "Winter's Brew," and get started on it.

This will be my Sunday Slow Stitching!

Cute teacup stitchery! I’m not ready for snow yet. We had a high of 24 degrees celcius here today! Crazy! Supposed to get colder over the next week or so. Time to get the fall stitching done and get busy with winter and Christmas projects, I guess

Your little wallhanging is very appropriate! You will need to hang the new embroidery soon because winter is coming whether we're ready or not! Happy stitching!

the small wall hanging it cute and I am sure glad we are in no danger of getting snow this early - I don't mind winter but don't want it this early!

You have had a wonderful stitchy October with such cute projects finished and now continuing into November. Lots of lovely stitching to enjoy, Diann. I can't believe you've had snow-so much south of us! We are still enjoying very warm temps and sunshine, a most unusual Autumn for here.

Your embroidery is beautiful! I would be hard pressed to choose a favorite. What a cool idea to have a space in your fridge to display your work.

Pumpkin Haul looks so cute on your fridge! Maybe an acorn or two on the Autumn piece? I'm not sure. Wish we could get some of your snow. ;)

Great finish. The border fabric, both of them, are perfect. Cute gecko fridge magnets holding it in place! SNOW brrrr! I like your new winter project.

Pretty finish, Diann and great way to display it. I was thinking that next will be some accorns. Your new embroidery is lovely. Happy stitching, my friend.

Cute little wallhanging. I love the little lizards too. An inch of snow is an inch too much. By Golly, it's only November! Don't want to think about that right now although that tea cup is just adorable. Will you frame it like you did the pumpkin hauling? ;^)

Some nice stitching going on! I love the Winter's Brew piece, but the snow? Not so much. Guess it's coming, though, so better get ready!

I used to embroidery so much. Then along came kids... job... life... other things... As I see work like yours, I think maybe I'll go up and find my box of embroidery things. I probably have some unfinished projects from way back that deserve to be brought back out.
