My goal this week was to finish up the Bloom basket blocks in orange, and I did! I've been making three of these each month, with the basket section in the RSC color of the month, and the blooms in whatever different colors happen to be around on my cutting table or scrap bins that I can cut a 3 inch square out of.
Blocks in progress:
And finished:
I've made 24 of these now, and was originally shooting for 30. But I just noticed that Cynthia's cover quilt on the Bloom module has 25 blocks, and that is the layout I want to use, so I actually just need one more! This will be a fun scrappy quilt!
I finished all the orange hand-pieced plus blocks this last week, too. I don't think I've actually shown all of these in awhile. The orange ones are on top.
I only made three green blocks whenever that month was - can't remember why!
So I need three more - two in bright green and one in dark to balance everything out. I think this quilt will be good with 49 blocks since these are rectangular: 6.5 x 8.5.
What have you been working on this week? Looking forward to seeing over at SoScrappy for ScrapHappy Saturday and at Quilting is More Fun than Housework for Oh Scrap!

You have almost all blocks made for 2 winners quilts, Diann. Love both of them.
I think you made only 3 green plus blocks because Angela told us we will have another green month later to play with.
Happy weekend.
Both of your quilt block groups look great. I do love those dancing plus signs, and the baskets are so cheerful and fun!
I like both of those! what size quilts do you end up with usually? two more months of color to add I wonder what they will be
Love your scrappy projects!
Gosh it's hard to pick a favorite - I love both these designs. I notice how pretty the basket blocks look on the green, but they also look good against the white. Have you thought about a background yet?
I need to get my RSS quilt sandwiched and get started quilting it this weekend. It is for little Laney, and they will be here next weekend!
BTW we are supposed to have "heavy rain" the next few days - YAY!
So colorful. I call those four-patch baskets -- so easy to make. Love the plus blocks.
The basket pattern is an oldie but you modernized it with your choice of prints and colors-the best of both worlds.
What is it about basket blocks that we all love so much! Yours are so very pretty, Diann! And your other blocks as well of course.
Ivani is right, there's another green month coming. not that you couldn't do them ahead. Your choice. Both projects look rainbowy delicious.

Don't you just love when all the blocks we make all year are almost done and ready to become a quilt top? Two beautiful quilts in the works. Have a great weekend.
So pretty! The basket quilt will be ado. Loving the plus blocks too! You are definitely the rainbow quilt queen! We do still have two more months with colors. Bright light green and dark blues m I think. So you’ll get your extra green pluses done!
I love basket blocks. And even better when they are scrappy. What an unusual and fun layout for them.
I like the Plus blocks too. Gosh, it appears you are soon going to have two scrappy and colorful quilts.
love a basket block and yours are so sweet!
Your flower basket blocks are so pretty, great news that you need just one more.
Two quilts are almost at the flimsy stage and August is not out yet, you are on a roll! They both look great. ;^)
Oh the basket blocks are so pretty!! I like the scrappiness of them. Making the baskets the RSC colors and then whatever is handy for the blooms was genius. It's going to make a nice sized quilt!
Great layout choice for the basket blocks! How wonderful to only need one more block to finish the top! I've enjoyed each color way of the baskets this year! Your hand pieced blocks are stunning too. Definitely, you've stitched two winners this year!
I am loving all of your blocks this week. I still need to make my orange Bloom blocks for the layout I am working on. But first I have a few other things to get done. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
love, love love your scrappy baskets. Are the HSTs 2" finished? And are using the same background fabric for the whole quilt? I might have to try this one sometime. It's terrific looking.
What fun blocks - and you are almost ready on the baskets!! too cool!
The plus'es for a positivity quilt???
