This week in blue...

My main sewing goal for this week was to get the asterisk blocks made for the April row of Full Stop, the 2021 Rainbow Scrap Challenge sampler.  I ended up with five of them.

Here are my four rows for the year.  I'm thinking the asterisk row could use one more in it, so that might happen this weekend
.

Along the way, I had some time to make two blue crumb hearts.  I'm sewing together the bonus triangles, too.  The hearts are 6.5 inches, the HSTs are trimmed to 2.5 inches.

In my evening slow-stitching time, I finished up the two light/bright blue scrappy trips blocks that are hand-pieced.

Here are all the blocks so far!

Sharing my blue progress at my favorite weekend link-ups!

This weekend, I'm hoping to do some cutting for the Follow Your Own Path QAL  at mmmquilts and also prep the last pieces for the Harmony Hand-pieced QAL blocks.  If there's time I'll trace another embroidery design, too.

My mom is arriving Monday for her big move and I want to have lots of projects ready to go for when there's a little time to sew.  We have lots of appointments to go to, as well as moving her into her apartment, so I will probably be away from the blog this week.   I'll be back soon, though!

I spy some penguins frolicking in your Scrappy Trips. Love those crumb hearts. Looks like you’ve got everything caught up for your Mom’s arrival. Will she fly in? Good luck with everything Diann!

Those asterisk blocks look pretty quick to whip up. Ok where do I find the crumb block instructions? I better add those to a pin for future use, ya know just in case I run out of things to make, haha.

yes you need to get your mom settled in and seeing new doctor in your area I imagine, always so much to do to get settled in a new place and show her around. I hope she will be happy in her new home.

All your projects are moving right along. Those Scrappy Trips blocks look so perfect. My hand sewing would never come out looking that good. Enjoy spending the week with your Mom getting her settled. It will be busy but it's time well spent. Hope you have some decent weather to welcome her.

Your Full Stop blocks look really good. I like how you're alternating light & bright versions in each row. The Scrappy Trips are really pretty too and looks like everyone likes the crumby hearts. Good luck with the Mom Move. It'll definitely be a transition for all involved.

Wow! I didn't realize how small the hearts are! And those tiny crumb HSTs are amazingly small. Great progress on the blue front. ;^)
