To-Do Tuesday #29

Hope all of you are healthy and safe out there!  These are trying times...

But we quilters have plenty to do, don't we?!  I did pretty well on last week's list.

I finished up my Crabapple Hill embroidery piece.  See more about that in this post.  I also finished up the final block of my blue and white project!

Now I have to decide how to finish this off.  I was planning to hand stitch the blocks together, but I may just machine stitch in order to make it go faster!

I bought template plastic for the new blocks of the Book Club Hand-pieced QAL, but the first block could be rotary cut, so I went that route.  Pieces are cut:

And I've already been working on hand-piecing the sections.

Lots of turquoise HSTs have been made for my zigzag project, too.

Just need a few more!

And, I did glue baste the Dresden sunflowers onto the Scrappy Sprouts quilt top, too!

So this week's list is all about making more progress on all of the above!

1.  Finish up the Evelyn block for the Book Club QAL.  You can read more about this in Patty's post.  I think I'd like to read the book this block is based on, too!

2.  Finish the rest of the turquoise HSTs.

3.  Get the applique stitches done on the sunflowers so that the quilt top can be prepped for quilting.

4.  And, maybe, sew the blue and white blocks together.  Or I might just put that one on the shelf for awhile until I'm inspired by it again!  :)

How'd you do on your list?  Sharing at Home Sewn by Us for To-Do Tuesday!

Oh those blue and white blocks are so pretty! Looks like the hand pieced project is going to be fun. I like your turquoise. I have my blue/teal scrap bin waiting for me on my cutting table and hope to get started on that today.

Have you been out much, walking or otherwise?

Don't we love the crispness of white and blue together as well as red and white. Lovely, Diann. All so cheering to see.

Haven't posted a To Do Tuesday today, since we just got home last night and my day will be much of laundry and catching up. I am going to hide in my quilt room soon, though. I'm a bit overwhelmed with all that's going on, and traveling in the midst made it a bit surreal. So glad to be home. We had a wonderful trip, so there will be posts to share soon.

Hi Diann! Oh no - I don't want you to lose sight of your blue/white quilt top. I really LOVE how that turned out. Are you thinking of adding some borders? The next hand piecing block looks for pretty. You've got a great eye for fabric selection, I think. That sunflower really represents well. Thanks for linking up this week and good luck on your list. ~smile~ Roseanne

I love your Crabapple Hill with the pieced blocks and embroidered ones. That is a lot of hand stitching. Your sunflowers look great too. So much progress since I last saw your projects.

Love the fabrics in your book club block! The blue quilt came out beautifully. Sew exciting to add the dresden on your sprout quilt. Lots of progress happening in your sewing area.
