I found some fun prints in my stash to start with -
And stitched up four little hearts in no time!
A little more background fabric and two strips of that dark pink print brought everything together.
And then, the exciting part of the week happened! I bought a new sewing machine!
It's a Pfaff Ambition 610, and has many lovely features. The most important to me are the Integrated Dual Feed (takes the place of my old walking foot!), quite a bit bigger throat space, and a serpentine stitch!
And what better place to try out these new features than quilting my hearts!
That's just what I wanted!
Scraps left from the hearts worked well for the backing and binding.
Here it is, hanging on the wall in my newly rearranged sewing space!
Sharing at Quilting is more fun than Housework for Oh Scrap!

I don't have a comment on your little heart quilt, although it is cute as a bug. I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy reading your posts; I look forward to each and every one. And that's it - sweet and simple. :)
What a cute project, have fun with your new machine!
I like how your quilting looks is that free motion then or with the dual feed foot I'm not sure what it is lol (mainly hand quilter here)
Very quick, but very pretty! Looks like you made really good use of your new sewing buddy.
Congrats on the new machine to go in your newly-painted and reorganized sewing room! It's hard to beat the dual-feed of a Pfaff. I didn't realize Pfaff had a serpentine stitch. Maybe it's time for me to trade ... or at least uncover my Pfaff QE so I can use it more.
How exciting getting a new machine! Your going to love the dual feet. It makes quilting so much easier. Those hearts are adorable! The quilting is the perfect match too!
Congrats on the new Pfaff! Your wavy stitch looks amazing.
Such a sweet project you made for your new machine's test drive! Congrats on both!
That little quilt is so pretty and looks perfect on your new wall!
Congrats on the new machine! It's worth whatever price you paid just for that wonderful serpentine stitch - love it. I just googled it and apparently I can program it in on my Janome, so I'm going to give it a whirl!
What fun, a new machine!! Your heart quilt is perfect for the season. Little quilts sure dress up a space don't they.
Oh how cute! A perfect addition to your new space, with your snazzy new machine. I'm so happy for you!
Cute mini!! But wow! Yay for a new machine! Have fun with it.
A cute mini quilt! But what really caught my eye was the serpentine quilting stitch, adds some lovely interest! (I'm on the lookout lately for ways to make my quilting more enjoyable and homegrown, instead of resorting to 'quilting by visacard'!)
I love this charming little project. What fun to have a new toy to play with - I'm sure you will find all sorts of new features to explore. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
Wow, a sewing studio makeover AND a new machine. How lucky you are. I don't think we have a Pfaff dealer in our area any more, but it's probably more than my budget would cover anyway.

Yay for a whole brand new experience while you sew! You made me feel like going and making a mini. I'm procrastinating working on several other projects that need my attention! :)
Congratulations on the new machine. It is something to celebrate :-) I am sure that you two will make many lovely things together.
You see hearts - I see lips :-p
Love the beautiful green floral backing fabric.
How exciting to get a new machine! You're really going to love the extra harp space. The serpentine stitch looks great, and is just the right touch to finish your darling little heart quilt :)
I'm quite behind on reading blogs, but wanted to add that your hand piecing is looking really good. And maybe all the geese are facing the same way on the lake because they saw how tricky it is to sew them together when they face different directions!
Cute mini! You're all ready for Spring! :-) Enjoy your new machine....the stitches look so even!
Yikes! I’m still catching up with my blog reading after vacation, but I had to send a quick Message to congratulate you on your new machine!! May you enjoy many happy years of sewing fun with it!! And I’m loving your Dresden sunflowers!!!
