While finishing up the final outer border this week, here was my plan:
A 5.5 inch strip of Kona Maize to match the sashing around the blocks. But no...
Monkey cornerstones were suggested demanded... and so, of course, four more were made! Since it is pink month for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, I made sure I included a little pink in these guys!
Finally! A finished quilt top!
Apparently these monkeys are Scrappy in more than one way, if you know what I mean! I wonder what will happen when I try to quilt this one... 😂

Some quilts misbehave from start to finish. Monkeys can be especially bad :)
I love it though!
Love your dancing monkeys!
(And yes indeed, they do call the shots...)
You did a great job whipping those monkeys into shape. So sweet.
I know the feeling some quilts just do not want to cooperated
Well those monkeys know what they are talking about for sure, love them being in the corner stones too;)
what a fantastic quilt! congrats on the finish!
How nice it looks with the cornerstones ! :)
Wow. Those monkeys have good taste.
Well, this turned out beautifully! All the scrappy blocks give it so much more life. Great finish!
Sorry, Diann, but the monkeys were right. Monkeying around with the cornerstones was just the thing to finish off the quilt!
It’s pretty obvious to us that these scrappy monkeys have quilting in their DNA. They haven’t led you wrong yet! Trust them when it comes to the quilting! xo
Gorgeous - really like your blocks.
Such a fun quilt! I love the dark inner border than the lighter outer border.
What a beautiful quilt!
Love the way my eyes keep hopping around the quilt, trying to take it all in also enjoy each block. A real monkey experience. Congrats!
Great finish! I'm glad you listened to the monkeys!
It has turned into a great quilt top and looks lovely.
The borders are a great finish.
Cheers, Karen

This turned out soooo cute! Monkeys rule!
Very cute! The monkeys knew what they were talking about. The monkeys in the corners are perfect.
